Great video, especially since your edit history has been more for jumpers and such. Good job!

#15 Question to TF2 video creators in TF2 General Discussion
dellortYou'll probably get better results if you use an external encoder instead of encoding through vegas. Just rendered uncompressed then use MeGUI or Adobe Media Encoder to compress.

I would suggest EH264 as it hardly takes away from quality + it's incredibly easy to use

Cloudmaker2hookyCloudmaker2invite should get pink or purple. some diff color to make them feel special.Purple is Twitch chat, so Twitch John. Pink could be a little hard to see. TFTV staff was once pink, and is now green (unless that was removed too). What about gold?

Gold should be the TFTV membership color

#6 THE ISRAELI COMMUNITY - BY BRAVEHEART | TF2C CONTE in TF2 General Discussion

** writing this out as I'm watching **

You definitely need to record at a higher frame rate to make sure the slow motion will look good and work well. This is purely a guess, but it looks like you made the intro in SFM. If that's the case, adjust the motion blur to be less obvious. Sorta choppy slow motion + excess motion blur isn't pleasant on the eyes.

Regardless of that, I enjoyed the intro. The angles were nice and the transitions looked good. Though the angles were nice, the side sweep motion they each had at the beginning of each was repetitive. Consistency is a plus in everyone's book, but there's a fine line between consistency and repetition. Work on that in future videos and you should be golden.

Now maybe it might be because I'm getting really tired, but the overall frame rate of the video is kind of a strain to look at.

2:00 - The effect honestly wasn't necessary. It would have worked well as a transition to the next clip but I feel like it was randomly placed in there for emphasis on I'm not sure what. I felt like that medic clip ended too short. The next clip faded in way too soon and was fading in for way too long. The effect was still happening too for some reason.

Please note I'm not saying this in an asshole way. Criticism is key to improving. It's the only way you'll improve past your own ability. Learn criticism from people being jackoffs and then learn to use that criticism to your advantage and you'll be golden in no time.

Anyway, back to the video. I like the songs you have chosen so far, but your audio mixing can use improvement. Silence in between songs can work sometimes, but it's usually a good idea to have the songs transition into each other, like you would do for the video as well.

I enjoyed hearing the addition of the game's cast. More videos need this.

Okay, so I finished the video and contrary to what people will probably think since a lot of them can't seem to tell what criticism is, I enjoyed the video. I think you did good, but can and more than likely will improve in the future.

However, there are still a couple of suggestions I wanted to make. They both have to do with the audio and are probably more preference than anything else. First, I feel like using an upbeat song such as the ones you chose shouldn't have smooths that are slowed down. Work the speed of the smooths to the speed of the song. If the song has a soft spot and you can fit a smooth into there, then a slower smooth can work. Secondly, again considering you used upbeat music, the lack of in-game sound to me is a little awkward. It sounds more natural to me when you can hear in-game sound with more upbeat music, though little to none for much softer music.

Again, those last two suggestions are based off of what I would prefer and not sure if there are that many other people who feel the same. Whether or not you take my criticism, I felt like I should try to give it anyway.

Good job on the video and keep on going at it!

#4 In-game problem while streaming in Q/A Help

Lowering the bitrate to 2500 and Quality to 9 seemed to help. I'm not entirely sure as I don't know what was causing the issue, but it was probably my settings.

#1 In-game problem while streaming in Q/A Help

Can I post this in this sub forum? pls move if not

While streaming, I'll get frequent in-game freezes where everything, including myself stops in place for ~2 seconds then skips ahead to what's going on currently. I don't notice ping spikes in net_graph, so I'm not sure if my ping is even spiking.

I've been experimenting with settings as I can't seem to find a solution, but currently my bitrate/buffer is @ 3,000. Quality is at 10. Downscaling @ 1.50 (native res is 1280x1024 so I'm not sure if I even need to downscale).

Upload is @ 11.49 Mbps.

CPU - AMD Phenom II x6 1055t, 4GB RAM, GPU - 5770.

I had to reinstall OBS due to getting a new HDD and I ended up not saving my OBS settings. I wasn't getting this problem before reinstalling. I'm not necessarily sure if my settings are the issue or if it's something else.

I think my buffer might be too high, but I dunno. Help :(

edit: I used the updated OBS guide from Skyride, but I think I might have made a wrong turn terribly somewhere.
