dangoI think the health-bars above the their head is toggle-able? I'm pretty sure they toggle it on the TFTV stream. I like it that way, so you can show it it 1v1s or situations where health matters.
That's a good idea! Basically everything can be toggled fairly easily by binding a key to a command. Changing health colors requires a few different commands so unfortunately that wouldn't toggle to easily.
joddlast EVL stream i watched was sparkle bunnies vs small and soft last week; are they still using green player outlines for everyone? could they change to the team-specific ones, instead?
Well knowing health requires you to glance over at the health bars on the hud, which doesn't work very smooth for everyone, that's why we use health colors instead on the overlay. Its really awesome when a sticky trap goes off behind a wall!
The alternative is health-bars above each players heads, which I personally think is distracting.
Anyway, lets take a vote. How should we do our overlays? Vote here

HuckI really like how EVL is covering lower level matches. It's probably gonna motivate a lot of players to stick with competitive if they get to be casted every now and then.

Yes.. I have a list of stuff to work on for camera, the binds are on the list, as well as getting a proper scoreboard, though that is proving difficult :(

I am loving the schedule tool! Its definitely been helpful in getting some casts setup. I'll let you know if I or the EVLTV folks come up with any suggestions.
kirbyYoshi51Just about all footage from the trailer consisted of "Hey we need to get some footage for a video go round up some peeps for a quick in-house game." That might have something to do with the frame rate being meh.
So hopefully we get some awesome footage over the season to use in other amazing trailers. :3
yeah if you're short on time, it's best to do stuff at a lower framerate. no worries, man. the trailer was pretty good!
Can confirm. Entire AE project was at 24 fps. Some of the footage was shot in 60, others in 29.97. It wasn't too horribly noticeable playing back locally as it is on the video, still not bad though!
We chose the acronym without giving it a meaning almost 5 years ago. Pronouncing it E-V-L not evil.

Watch our inaugural Year trailer!
EVLTV is a new casting organization. Officially starting late November 2014 and covering a few Gold UGC HL Matches to get our feet wet. We are now announcing our 2015 plans along with our slick new trailer!
Our first official cast is this Wednesday at 10:30pm EST.
What's being covered
UGC We're casting HL Platinum and Gold on Monday nights starting January 26th!
ESEA Covering IM and Open typically on Wednesday nights!
EVLBR January 31st and February 1st we're providing full coverage of the Winter Battle Royale 4v4 tournament, including the open melee brawl on both days.
Whatever you want! Seriously, if you have an interesting event, or want us to cast your ESEA/UGC match let us know. If we have the resources to cover something we will (provided its interesting!)
The EVL TV Open Casting Call
We need the help of the community to keep things running. Right now we're off to a great start with about 15 casters, and 2 streaming/producers (myself being one of the streamers).
We are typically able to cover 2 matches a week, however we really want to be able to run two casts side-by-side in order to expand coverage. Right now with lack of production staff and casters who aren't actively playing, we're a bit short.
We are currently looking for:
-Shoutcasters
-Camera/Streamers
-Production Managers (scheduling, choosing matches, operating node-cg etc)
-Web Content Team (posting new content to our website evlgaming.tv)
The TF2 community has been amazing these past few months! We've had a ton of help from various members of the community and organizations! Many thanks to KevinIsPwn, Mana, Lange, Dashner, c0ld, getawhale, and all of the EVLTV casters!
