#40 Proper Performance Guide on TF2. [UNFINISHED] in Customization
AimIsADickelektrogreat job at not answering the question, from now on I will use cloudflare's DNS instead of google!
But I did tho. I explained why changing your DNS can result in better network performance.

bro a dns server only returns the ip of a hostname lookup (in the context of tf2), what impact does it have on your performance beyond saving microseconds when you're connecting to a server.

honestly all this comes off as u speaking authoritatively about subjects you seem to not have much knowledge about

#25 Proper Performance Guide on TF2. [UNFINISHED] in Customization

I will Go Into The BIOS on My Pc And Disable All Core's Except For Core 0 And Over Clock't to 7 Ghz. Ultimate Performance Gains. And I Will ALso Disable Windows 10 Updates And Use Windows 10 Ameliorated And Also I will Disable My HPET Because I Read Internet . Maybe I will Also Use Web Browser That Dosen't Send My Data Every 10 Seconds For Fps Boost .

#24 Playing tf2 on linux in TF2 General Discussion
cirlohpqoeumasterTF2what about nvidia lod tweak? Is it possible on linux?
you can use libstrangle to fuck with LOD and get something like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sf2K6o-bHZA, but it works much better with amd than it does with nvidia. on high LOD bias the sniper scope is gone on nvidia and you just end up with a really blurry filter on the whole screen

A bit of OT, but can do you actually use it?
I am now trying it out (picmip 16, the maximum) and it seems some blue players are a little harder to notice. Do you have a preferred level of picmip?

blu players turn more gray but i just used 15 when i was using it, stopped cause i switched to an nvidia card

#13 Playing tf2 on linux in TF2 General Discussion
scarymalyI've been playing TF2 exclusively on Linux, although you need to define "good player" in order for me to tell whether I should have a part in this discussion or not.
Everything is smooth, you don't need dxlevel (because you're using OpenGL on Linux), raw input should be turned off (Linux has no delay when it comes to input, but SDL can't handle some fast mouse flicks in newer kernels properly, so raw input screws it up).
Also, no p-rec, but the built-in demo recorder does the job excellent.

does tf2 on linux still work with vpks and mods like yttrium viewmodels?

yes

i played a season of prem on linux, no difference to how it is on windows except that if you have m_rawinput 1 you have to halve your sens compared to windows. also the folders in custom are case sensitive, so just rename all folders to lowercase

_flaccurrently working on adjusting cm/360 for linux users (their sens is half of what it would be on windows) and fixing duplicate entries.
