#3 For players coming from Muselk's video in TF2 General Discussion
fightomnificFirst of all, don't post in someone else's thread, like our friend Ethan hereharsh, no need to call him out specifically

my bad, I was just using an example. Probably shouldn't have said his name either way. There are probably 5 micro-lft threads on other people's threads

#50 Muselk shouts out competitive in TF2 General Discussion

Just posted a thread that hopefully will solve some of the problems that players are having making lft threads (and where they're making them lol)

There's tons of players making threads that they're lft. That's great! We want you to get into competitive, we love new talent. However, there's just some things you should know. First of all, don't post in someone else's thread, like our friend Ethan here. Posting that you're lft in someone else's thread is very inconsiderate. The comments on those threads are for referrals and stuff by past teammates. Imagine if someone else put their job resume on your own job resume! Don't be that guy.

Also, the season of ESEA 6's has already started. Many of us played our first game last night! If you want to find a team, ugc forums are the place to get it done. There you can find a lower level 6's or highlander team

Also, remember to put good information in your post. This guide is designed to show you how to make a very strong lft thread that will look more professional and well-rounded than your counterparts' threads, giving you a better chance to get picked.

also don't post an lft thread without a mic

What monitor are you running? Check the settings on your monitor on the physical monitor itself, as well as the settings on your computer

I really enjoy the way this map looks, tons of much needed changes without completely making the map feel weird and alien

TwiggyI wasn't aware of the no debuffs to teammates rules.

Another possible change would be :

No longer gives a speed boost to the soldier.

I mean, he's not whipping himself is he? :D

but the problem with the whip is not the soldier himself. It's the fact that a heavy with the gru while being whipped moves as fast as a scout. You need to nerf the effective time, how often you can whip someone for the bonus (perhaps make it a reward for doing damage) or something along those lines. You just have to do it without fucking up highlander

#2 Shoutout to TragicServers in TF2 General Discussion

I remember on an old team I was on, we rented from them and the server was not at their best. But our leader talked to them and they immediately gave us another. Good guys

blendtecAlso, yeah, froyotech might be the best team in the world by quite a margin at the moment, but other top NA teams I believe would have close games and compete well against the top 3 Euro teams right now. I mean there's no way a team with showstopper is better than every team in Europe right?

Showstopper is good tho

TwiggyPretty Boy Pocket Pistol : So 210 HP overhealed scout with almost no counterpart? seems legit. I propose a true drawback to balance this one.
  • 50% Fire damage vulnerability changed to bullet damage vulnerability

5 classes in highlander have a hitscan weapon as their primary, and the remainder (with exception to demo and possibly medic, depending on whether syringes count as hitscan) can get it as a shotgun. This allows 1 shotting scouts with a scattergun regardless of the health increase. With that, a heavy just has to click on you for a millisecond to kill you. There is no way to even escape minis, or no chance for you if you turn a corner to find a sentry. This even allows the spy to 2 shot you with the stock revolver at close range. This is a horrible idea

spammyShortstop seems to be completely fucked
I used to play in a pug with a guy running fulltime shortstop
Our team was getting crushed even from long range
For example, from one choke on badlands to the other scout with scattergun can deal basically ~3 damage with one shot
Shortstop scout can do up to 20 as I've noticed, but please correct me if I'm wrong
Damage output seems to be incredible to me

Also shortstop is only good at mid range, it's shit at scout v scout because you can only do like 70 max damage and it only has four shots. If it were given a bit more damage, it'd be a straight upgrade to the scattergun
