everyone is ignoring miwo's point but literally every friend i have IRL is in a similar boat where they'd quite likely have to drop out of school if they lost their insurance that they can only maintain through the ACA

how does it feel knowing you voted for someone who could kill millions of people :)

Have you read the election thread? A lot of people have.

i dont get upset at tf2 posts.

kiler4funIf you want a real answer : https://www.reddit.com/r/GripTraining/

You got a beginner routine in the sidebar as well. This is strictly for grip training tho, even tho you will probably notice an improvement in forearm size as well

unironically been doing this for a while now. I went from not being able to double overhand most of my DLs to being to rack pull 50lbs over my max. Grip training fuckin rocks and its helped my tendinitis

ScissorseeeBecause people arent experts. Experts were close to unanimously against trump. G2g srySlave-mentality like this is so fucking pathetic. I am not surprised at all considering what else you have been saying. Hopefully one day you decide to actually think for yourself instead of letting "experts" decide what is best for you.

I listen to experts when i go to the doctor or get my car fixed but its a bad idea when it comes to the future of my country?

Nub_DanishWhat policies do the GOP hold that are racist? (being serious my dude pls inform me)

Inherently racist might be hard to find. Race motivates things like voter suppression and welfare cuts and immigration issues though, even if they all have nonracial components.

ScissorseeeThe economy as a whole has improved and the ACA was definitely a big boost for anyone in true poverty.

Even if he didnt deliver, he campaigned on issues that would help instead of hurt. Wouldnt that make him better than the GOP?

You can't seem to grasp that other people don't necessarily agree with you on what helps or hurts people. For me Donald Trump ran on the promise to undo the destruction globalism has brought upon the middle and lower-middle class. All politicians campaign on issues people believe will help, how the fuck could anyone win if they campaigned on issues people universally agreed would hurt? Come on now.

Because people arent experts. Experts were close to unanimously against trump. G2g sry

How have democrats fucked black people?

How does that change the fact that most people see the gop as being bad for minorities? Youre just deflecting to the other party being shit for a racial group instead of defending against the claim that the republicans are WORSE THAN the democrats for blacks. It isnt a situation where both groups are bad so you can go away. One is worse than the other

I dont like the people saying hillary lost because everyone got called racist or bigotted. Its a really sad thought in an abstract sense. Assume that all the people who voted for trump were kkk members or w/e: if calling them racist or bad people loses the election does that really say anything good?

People keep trying to dismiss getting called racist by saying people were tired of it. They might be tired of it, but that doesn't mean they stopped being racist. Assuming both sides are half right in the sense where racism was a motivating factor and being called racist was a motivating factor for the GOP then racism is still an issue. Calling a spade a spade shouldnt be so triggering to so many people but the fact that everyone got upset about it doesnt refute the base argument that race is still a motivating factor for republican voters. Do we really want to be the country where people would rather say "no im not" and avoid introspection? At the end of the day if the GOP wasnt interpreted as racist then calling them racist wouldnt be such a common thing that the base could rally around it. Id rather people take time to explain why their policies arent racially motivated instead of just saying they arent racists themselves, so they could never vote for something racist

It was p obviously a bad political move tho.

SpaceCadetwhymeoReading through this thread seeing all the Trump supporters trying to say it had nothing to do with race when the only major demographic trump did well with was white people.

The fact that Clinton was the establishment candidate and racism can both play a role. It doesn't just have to be one thing.

So wait a minute, let me understand.

Trump did well with white people so that makes it a racist vote. (not sure of the exact % just yet)
Obama in 2012 had 93% of the black vote and in 2008 had 95% of the black vote. Racism had no impact on those?

You can't have it both ways.

Black people avoid the gop because their policies target them and make their lives worse. Voting for the gop is voting to reinforce a power structure that makes being white better than other races

Democrats are far more egalitarian and dont run on a platform that negatively affects specific ethnic groups. Thats why its racist for one but not the other. All the white people voting to keep black people out of the suburbs is racist. All the black people voting against that isnt

oh no a senator said something on tv!?!?? most people in new york didn't want gay marriage. Representing your constituency is part of being a politician

she helped get DADT passed and wanted gays to openly serve. Her track record is better than most

SchweppeseeeTrump won because the rural voters turned up in droves to vote for him.

she ran on bernie's platform after the DNC
openly calling those people deplorable racists might not have been a sick strategy eh?
also do you genuinely think HC, someone who literally said you need to have a personal and public opinion on issues in her Goldman Sachs speeches and has done nothing but flip flop since the 90s, would give a shit about Bernie's platform after she's elected?

considering all the inflammatory shit that the right throws around its weird everyone is getting hung up on this but no, it wouldn't have mattered. Economic pressures forced people to the GOP, not hurt fee fees

considering universal healthcare, gay rights, and environmentalism were things Clinton supported in the 90s and wanted to work towards anyway yeah I think she'dve stuck. Just because she was more conservative and nuanced in her goals for her term didn't mean she wasn't progressive

>Even Sanders would have crushed him

please stop this narrative

Trump won because the rural voters turned up in droves to vote for him. They weren't going to swing to a socialist atheist

any sort of gain you'd want to predict from rural voters swinging would've been nullified by depressed minority turnout

>Bernie supporters owed her nothing as she made it abundantly clear she didn't give a shit about them

she ran on bernie's platform after the DNC

the left just signed away its major-party access for 8+ years because now the Dems are gonna pander to middle america
