#77 Highlander article missing in Site Discussion

The site does still cover HL casts from the likes of EVL and Blackout though, it's not like the format was abandoned completely. TFTV just doesn't self produce HL casts or write articles about the format, which is fair.

#27 The Pyro Update Discussion in TF2 General Discussion
LunacideBut Valve's vision might be that of an equal playing field, where teams can run pyro/heavy/engie/sniper/spy at any point on the map. In which case, I think pyro would have to be redesigned from the ground up.

I personally believe this is wishful thinking on Valve's part, and I wouldn't enjoy that metagame nearly as much. That being said, if we improved Pyro's mobility, we'd probably see more use of the flamethrower. Whether that would be a balanced change or not, I doubt it. It'd probably be extremely annoying to see a Pyro outrunning a Medic and M1+W forward.

The other way to make Pyro more useful is if we saw more Spies in 6s. As it stands though, with only 6 people to keep track of, and two Scouts and two Soldiers, it becomes pretty difficult to pull off a worthwhile Spy play.

You can try it and revert... Or you could. Dunno if that changed. Personally I prefer it overall.

#5 Game freezes, but ping and fps are fine in Q/A Help

USUALLY, I would assume it's a packet loss or choke, but you have netgraph open so I assume you know what you're looking at. I do think you should either check to see if your RAM is operating at rated speeds and isn't faulty, and also, just try removing any custom skins/files/huds/cfgs for a bit and play and see if the problem persists.

If you do replace RAM - check your motherboard platform for the usual stuff like speeds it can handle and specific vendors it may not be compatible with. Also while I don't think this is necessarily the issue, a few years ago I ran into a computer that was doing similar things in cs:s because of a faulty network card. Just food for thought. The unfortunate best way to troubleshoot is to either run the game clean and then add custom stuff one item at a time, and/or have spare compatible parts and swap things out.

#29 Please stop the hate in TF2 General Discussion

For the record, I've been questionably diagnosed as autistic by a psychiatrist. When asked about my options and whether I wanted extra help thru college and highschool, I responded, "No, I don't want a crutch and I want to seem as normal as possible while still being me." While this was my choice, and you can choose to deal with autism how you wish, just realize no one is going to sympathize with you over something like that, when clearly you are capable of communicating and having a relatively normal life. You aren't hemorrhaging internally and you aren't dying of any particular disease as far as I'm aware.

I was bullied every day of my education until college. I was a scrawny, effeminate korean boy with long hair and piercings. I also have a penchant for being dismissive with people who don't interest me and I tend to over or under articulate. You are going to be picked on if you are different, you're going to be picked on if you are unpleasant. If you are both, you either better become thick skinned enough to take it or change something so you have less insults to endure.

Finally, yeah it's pretty messed up when people add you just to insult you, and it isn't fun to be humiliated on stream, but honestly, if you think that you should be exempt to these things and don't do some self-examination, you're clearly not understanding how the world works, and autism to blame or not, you have to begin trying to figure it out at some point.

I have never once insulted or even talked to you, I know you exist from the forums and by keeping a passing interest in ETF2L. What I can honestly say is you play a decent Scout, and you seem to have a rather attention hungry personality. You're also quick to burn bridges and slow to admit you're in the wrong. And you state some very unpleasant opinions so proudly and then act like everyone else is ridiculous for not being okay with it.

And all of that is fine only if you are okay with it. The moment you post a thread like this asking people to let you be, that's the moment where it becomes cringe-worthy and the only thing members of the community can really do is A) try and explain to you what you really should have figured out, or B) jump on the bandwagon, you've just shown just how easily it is to get under your skin.

#62 Shooting at the Inland Regional Center in Off Topic
SocialitedeykuzorluxorI honestly hope ISIS is not involved.
Why would ISIS be involved? They have nothing against the developmentally disabled. This is just a hate crime with a sick agenda, like most domestic shootings.... And it's really really disgusting,
Please stop spreading misinfomation. ISIS does have something about disabled people...

I honestly forgot about that. That being said, I doubt they'd target a developmentally disabled center in America when there are better targets. Thanks for correcting me.

#6 wierd cpu temps in Q/A Help

Definitely check to see what's up. CPU-Z is great for basic hardware monitoring and real temp will do a good job measuring core temperatures. You should also (if using an Intel chip) use intels cpu validation tool. I would make sure you also seated your CPU cooler properly to the top of the die.

A focus on making it different than fully charged and backcap is incredibly important. A lot of forum posts on tftv ask some very fun creative questions of the community that would surprisingly be very entertaining interview questions.

Edit: i was reminded Isis was persecuting the developmentally disabled at one point. I apologize for not being entirely correct.

#115 How did you guys got introduced to comp tf2? in TF2 General Discussion

EXTREMELY early STAR_ videos of all things. This was back when Gangsta Gang Gaming was just starting, and ESEA was at S9 or 10 I think. I just heard mention of competitive, and went on a rampant google hunt for more information and found both ESEA casts and UGC casts on eXTV and like day after casts from different personalities within the community.

#13 AMD graphics drivers have a major update in Hardware

No, AMD has always had resolution options. Unfortunately, the current version of Radeon Software's Display settings does NOT have resolution options natively yet. You can change this via the Windows method, on Windows 8.1 and 10, right click the desktop, Display Settings > Advanced display settings (which is probably what AMD is assuming) OR within Radeon Software, going to Home > Preferences > Radeon Additional Settings > (this opens the old crappy catalyst driver) > My Digital Flat Panels > Custom Resolutions (Digital Flat-Panel).

What I'm assuming is over time, Radeon Software will incorporate more and more features, until eventually, the old Catalyst software won't be needed at all. For now, it's a holdover for incase you need a feature that hasn't been added into the current ecosystem AMD is trying to create.

As someone who uses both AMD and Nvidia systems, I must say overall I'm very happy with Radeon Software. I like it way more than GeForce Experience. It's just unfortunate that AMD cards aren't breaking any records and the software isn't fully featured like GeForce Experience is right now.

#1 Comp.tf - Backcap Weekly Show is Actually Amazing in TF2 General Discussion

And I hope no one else has already been talking about this (although I'm surprised I didn't find anything in a brief search), but this is actually a great recap/news show.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eEOlRAVIwA

I'm mostly hoping these get more attention since I think they're really cool and deserve more than a couple thousand views honestly.

Edit: delete this, I saw the thread just now.
