#3 iLiN Kickstarter in Off Topic

eXtine, in order for this to succeed you really need to advertise this on gaming sites for lots of different games. Because it is a kickstarter for a specific localized product, atm the main people donating will be those in the area. But unfortunately, there might not be $20,000 worth of money for this in that demographic. Because of that, this has to be marketed a positive event for gaming in the kickstarter, not just a gaming cafe. I want this to succeed, but with the current approach I'm not sure $20,000 is a feasible goal, and that's why you might have to get creative with your advertising.

#13 throwing in Esports

Not sure if this is directed at me, but I had a situation fairly recently where it was my team, mostly mid open players, vs b4nny + 5 invite players. We played 2 rounds seriously after we weren't allowed to forfeit the match, then threw to have fun with the game. To be completely honest, it's always a bad idea to come in thinking you don't have a chance, even if that is sometimes the case. When that does happen though, there has to be some sort effort to get the best outcome for your team, and if that means throwing and having fun, so be it (imo).

edit: shouldve mentioned this, but we were going to forfeit as there were schedule conflicts our players and we ended up with 2 ringers.

unsmelldaybraekdiscord delay is longer than mumble delay, depending on ping and server location
they both use the same codec, are you sure that's not placebo

Touchenobody here, but Discord's way more popular than mumble, i have yet to heard of any gaming community that uses mumble actively other than TF2 pro scene honestly, if you want reach and new players going for the most popular option would be the ideal which is Discord atm, quality wise discord's exactly the same as mumble.

IMO people should get used to use invoice chat anyway, look at CS:GO for example. ingame voice should be obligatory at risk of getting reported
