#5 Help me making my edit not look boring in Videos

(I read most of what Tob said sry if I repeat anything)
The content isn't all that boring really, but one thing you're missing is making your editing features pop. like at transition at 0:14 is sexxxxy but the colors are so similar to what it's changing to I didn't even notice it the first time around. For that specifically I'd probably recommend throwing a really strong filter on it as it pulls off screen so the colors clearly contrast the new frag footage.

A list of notes from a person who is obsessed with watching edits:

  • The sounds as you switch views (like around 0:34) are too loud and not even 100% needed
  • The music isn't really synced all that well which is okay sometimes but when the song is VERY lyrical (like the song you're using), that sync is needed or it just feels sloppy. If you aren't attached to the song I'd suggest something a bit more beat driven. This song could be very good in the end, but the syncing is gonna be rough.
  • You really seem to like not having viewmodels, but you don't really seem to be doing it in a way that makes it look clean rather than a bit awkward. Take a look at this video by SynciNG (<3) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhfOfDIbBYg and see how he incorporates transitions into even the viewmodels. I'm not saying steal his stuff, just get some inspiration in that area I guess

#4 viewmodels only when reloading? in Q/A Help
billwgemmlook at this http://www.teamfortress.tv/34834/yttriums-competitive-viewmodels and see if you can disable every animation but reloading. i havent used yttrium's program before but theoretically it's possible. if it doesnt support it you'd have to do some manual viewmodel editing yourself
yeah I use that atm, seems to only disable the models entirely, I'm not really sure how to do it myself

I believe thats the thing hes saying you have to learn.

#15 ESEA New Map Veto System in TF2 General Discussion
SlicerogueboxcarSlicerogueuh i dont want to play process snake and gully all fucking season. The other maps may be less popular but they promote different types of play which makes the game interesting.then have your leader ban those maps
This isn't just about me though. streams are less interesting when you see the same map over and over. People don't grow as players when they don't have to adapt to new situations on new maps. Only getting good at those maps also lowers the skill ceiling because there is less map knowledge and play styles and strategy to learn. Whats more scrims will be a fucking nightmare to find especially at the higher levels because you'll have to scrim maps that the other team isn't necessarily playing and vice versa and there aren't enough teams.

Yall already downvoting this man when these are issues lots of teams have already experienced that would just be amplified by this change. boxcar is right you can just ban maps for variety, but why would you do that when you never get to scrim something like metalworks because its not popular. The solution to this is made ineffective by the problem.

My idea thoughts now: A good way to balance people playing the same maps over and over again is doing a system where previous bans carry over, forcing people to deviate from the standard, even if it doesn't necessarily mean every team plays every map in a season.

Also maybe I'm missing something here, but this seems far less effective than just swapping out the less played maps for new ones and trying it out? All this does is create a even closer-minded group towards non-standard maps, it doesn't really address the problem of staleness in the map group. Try said "Some maps are less popular for a reason", instead of ignoring that problem we should be looking for a solution in trying other maps.

#14 WarOwl Likes TF2 Community in TF2 General Discussion
Fuxxbig boy essay

Constructive criticism:
- if ur encountering swarms of hackers constantly u must be playing 24/7 2fort
- any type of tf2 content is entertainging to an audience that has no experience with the game (his)
- jumping is not a marketable viewer experience why would anyone make videos on it when no one but jumper mains would watch it
- almost like clickbait content appealing to casual audience appeals to the main tf2 audience, hence more views
- just because he wants views doesn’t make him not good for the community
- compare the 1-2 people each pub that are mean to the occassional whole team in CS and were doin pretty alright in that area, even if he isnt receiving special treatment

this concludes the constructive criticism also
Edit: fucked up the second quote but letto is right

#12 Rewind 2 rewards in Q/A Help
JasbuttsLet me do some more gentle yet slightly more aggressive prodding and find some answers.

Jas <3

But also yes all teams were required to give steam ID's when signing up, it just sounded like from what Mackey said that he received an additional email, although from what everyone else said that might not be case.
