mathsaddangoHoly shit I hope custom games will be like warcraft 3 had, I might actually play this game if that happens.a ton of the old wc3 custom maps are already being remade in dota 2. i know pudge wars, warlocks, and some td maps are already done. this update just makes it way easier to play them (not to mention workshop tools that are currently in the game are in beta).

I like Google, but I've been really disappointed with a lot of the products they've pushed out in the last year so I have low expectations of this.

There is 2 chicago and 2 dallas right now. Felt like that was the most fair.
You can use !nextserver to see what server the next game will be on. It shows the location.
gargleburryI don't think many 6s players will play advanced lobbies if they have to pay. HL players would probably pay because there's no real pug site anymore for HL but in 6s tf2pug.me is going on almost all the time and provide a good skill level for 6s.
I don't think pugme and AL are trying to hit the same audience. People paying for advanced lobbies will probably be people already playing on TF2center, generally not people who play in ESEA (pugme's target).
Although it does sort of touch on saams issues; the only tf2playerrankings in NA are for TF2center which actually misses a lot of the top 20%. A large number of people in ESEA don't or haven't played UGC either, so they are sort of locked out of the AL system for now.

Sh4wn__it wasn't working so i did some googling and found some stuff, i tried putting "sv_allow_point_servercommand official" first then i put "sv_allow_point_servercommand always" and it worked.

Loved both of my CS courses in high school. But both my teachers were genius level who worked in the industry for like 25 years. Classes were also like 15 people and they were all really into programming. Always blew my mind how smart some of them were in high school.

I've been thinking about this. I considered just making a separate tab in the chat for a scrim channel, and the ability to open a private chat with users. Thoughts? This would only come when I get around to rewriting the site though.
Speaking of the rewrite, I've been planning to do it with CJ and freestate because they wanted to get in on it too. However, we've not had the free time to get together and plan it out yet. So in the meantime I redid the visuals of the site, just put it up now.
I only tested it in Firefox and Chrome, so there might be issues in other browsers. If you find any let me know and I'll try to fix them.
Also let me know what you think of the design. It's not perfect yet and I'll probably be doing some changes over the next little while.

I hope they improve support for tablets as well, because despite the fact W8 seems to have been designed around tablets support it's actually pretty damn awful. I have a Surface pro 3 and I use my 4 year old laptop in favour of it because windows is so painful to use on it.

Posted that 7 months ago lol. Realized by now. I don't see why they can't set the internal OS version to 10 or something else and just market it as windows 9 though.
