if your android phone has lollipop go to settings menu -> about phone
where is says android version 5.x.x just tap on it multiple times until it brings open the mini game splash screen. Then tap and hold on the lollipop

Yeah Chrome doesn't use the flash you have installed on your system by default. You can enable Chrome's or the system one separately in chrome://plugins
I don't know if it's related to taking up a lot of memory, but having both Flashs enabled would cause certain sites (like facebook) to completely freeze. Worth checking out.
