#3 Youtube in Off Topic

Is it in a playlist? Check the URL to see if it contains "&list=". Youtube has been weird about playing videos in playlists recently.

KanecoI dont really agree with this, I think it fits perfectly with the new theme since the main action links/buttons (as the "Post your reply" button) changed to that color. Besides its there for someone posting in a thread linked to an article to be able to notice its an article thread easier, IMO its fine.

Yeah, I definitely don't think it's awful, I just thought it was better before. No harm in putting forth more opinions to get the best product.

Also, posts on News (and possibly Events, I haven't tried it) don't show up in 'Latest Forum Activity' on your profile. To be fair, it's not technically the forums, but seeing as you've tried to integrate the two together it seems like it should show up there. I only point it out because that's how I find replies to my old posts.

Edit: I'm just gonna keep throwing out criticisms while I'm at it I guess (this is intended as constructive though, not trying to say any of this is bad, it's great). These things aren't really problems at all, but small things can go a long way to making a polished website.

  1. I find it odd that you can Block yourself
  2. When you send a message to someone who has blocked you, it tells you that they have blocked you (or you've blocked them, but it's easy to deduce which way it is). I think it should just feign sending the message, as I'm sure some people would rather have it done discreetly.

I few things I've noticed of the changes

On the front page the calendar doesn't seem to follow time order, see the UGC match coming before the ETF2L match:

Second, the spacing on the top of pages looks really odd to me. The gap between the ad and the stuff following is awkward, and it just feels like everything was thrown in there. (Edit: this picture doesn't really capture how it feels actually, in the context of the page it's odd)

Lastly, the blue bar for events stands out too much I think. The old way looked better in my opinion, as now it's just a giant blue bar (and pretty much the only solid blue piece on the website).

#8 Demo watching Problems in Q/A Help
ToastyTHTSo never? Cause we have been waiting on smooths for months.

They have fixed broken demos a few times in the past.

For not being able to free-cam, make sure you aren't using a jump script or something that rebinds spacebar. If you are, type

bind space +jump

in console once you load up the demo.

That is of course if you aren't making the mistake that Rigel pointed out.

#13 Different Sens for Hitscan and Projectile in Q/A Help
dr_insaneI think my main question is being misinterpreted. I'm not asking for preferences on sensitivities, I just want to know if keeping my sensitivity/dpi/360 the same for every single class will be beneficial in the long run if I get used to it?

Yes, building muscle memory for only 1 sensitivity will make things a lot easier. It is possible to get good with multiple sensitivities, but it just complicates things. That, and I think if you play enough, you'll get used to soldier on 10inches because it really shouldn't be too much.

Maybe you just need a bigger mousepad?
I main scout as well with a 10in/360, and I play every other class fine on it.

#4 Humble bundle code gifting is over in Off Topic

If you want to give the game to your friend, you can still link them the download page I would assume, as all humble bundles provide DRM free downloads no? If you justify giving them your extra steam key, I assume there is no moral problems with giving them the direct download.

#67 Stupid aliases you used as a kid in Off Topic
RigelGandalf74321 in RuneScape. At least I didn't pick Legolas.

My best friend was Legolas10179 in runescape... I still remember the numbers.

My first online name was in runescape I think, where I was romereilly, because I saw my brother playing and I thought it looked Roman.

Then I learned about forums, and joined one with the name lvl999killa. Later after migrating a few forums I became TehLegend (because spelling it Teh is cool right?)

I used TehLegend for a long time on Kongregate, before someone suggested I use Yllier, my name backwards. Eventually that just made it's way back to reilly.

Now I used Dango for ESEA, but I don't know the last time that was actually my steam name.

#56 Your weirdest dreams in Off Topic

(I guess I'm typing this twice because TFTV went down for like 20 seconds right when I submitted this...)

I'm glad someone bumped this thread because I would have forgotten to post this otherwise.

I had a dream last night that I was back in my high school. I was going around doing this here and there, when I bumped into my friend who told me we had to go fix something, so I follow along. He tells me we have to go to the basement. The place we end up in is like a sort of scaffolding, or warehouse shelves, except for closed in. It's made up of tattered board, with metal pole supports. It has multiple levels to it, and we go to the bottom one.

It turns out, this is where Platinum lives, in the basement of my old high school. Our goal was to fix his monitor, which was missing a single screw. We had to do this while Platinum slept on the floor in the corner, like a homeless person.
