#106 [PSA] SteamPipe, Part 2 in TF2 General Discussion

I was playing a scrim today and four of our players crashed at the exact same time in the middle of a round. People were also crashing randomly in pubs so it seems there are still some fatal bugs in steam pipe.

#44 Why do you play TF2? in TF2 General Discussion

I would say its because that TF2 is such a fun game different than most, but I think its mostly the people I play with. If I wasn't playing with such a good group of friends, TF2 wouldn't be a fraction as fun.

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is a lung disease that is often caused by people visiting the Hawaiian islands.

Thats what I got out of it.

#2 Viewmodel config with quickswitch in TF2 General Discussion

If you scroll down to the bottom of this page http://clugu.com/tf2mate/ there is a crosshair switcher script maker that uses q and 1 2 3 etc. Just make sure when you go to download it you only copy the crosshairswitcher folder, everything else has to do with graphical configuartion. Also be aware that this may change your crosshairs around, I'm not sure if that's something you want, but I believe there is a way to just use the switching script, I'm afraid that's all the help I can give you off the top of my head

#3 Software Throttling TF2? in Q/A Help

Yes, I am playing on a laptop, the battery is on maximum performance mode

Screenshot: http://imgur.com/lcAOLa3

The laptop is MSI: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152363

Similar model to that, but with a windows 7 manufacturer installation (still installed) as well as a GTX670M as opposed to the 675M

#1 Software Throttling TF2? in Q/A Help

I've been having terrible FPS in TF2 recently and I've investigated the problem to the best of my abilities and I believe that my computer isn't investing the correct amount of resources into TF2. I'm trying to get at least a stable 120 FPS out of the game and I think that my current configuration should be able to do that, but that something is stopping it from doing that.

Resource Consumption and FPS while TF2 is running in Full-Screen: http://i.imgur.com/xZauTES.jpg

All Processes running on this machine: http://imgur.com/GAT0NlJ

Hardware:
GPU: nVidia GTX670M
CPU: Intel Core i7-3610QM @ 2.3Ghz
RAM: 16GB DDR3

Running dx9 Frames. (performance same or better than with high frames).

Launch options: -dxlevel 98 -full -w 1920 -h 1080 -console -novid -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd

As a side note, my FPS is also incredibly unstable. Uncapped, it goes from 170 to 110 while nothing is happening then 120 to 40 while someone is happening and vary quickly between these numbers. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

#1 Wrist Strengthening in Off Topic

So the pocket for my team told me that to get better aiming skills I should do wrist strengthening exercises. I wasn't sure how to do them and I don't have access to free weights and stuff so he told me to stick my hand in a pickle jar and then try to get it out so my wrist will get stronger. I'm kind of scared of getting my hand stuck and maybe it won't come out. Does anyone have experience with this technique that can give me some advice? Thanks.

Rubicon: The Last Years of the Roman Republic by Dr. Tom Holland

Gives a really great look at the period before Rome turned from republic to empire. It focuses on Rome's political history, mainly, and really gives life to the big figures in late republican era Rome.
