is a very kind, chill dude. fun to pug with. good dm, good gamesense. would be a great teammate
does this guy even need an introduction? get this dude a team!
This guy is the best. Been a good friend to me since I started playing. He helped out my first team when we needed a new pocket for the second half of our first season. He's super nice and a really good player. Any team would be lucky to have him on their roster.
gl man <3
Cygnus and I go back to when I first started playing tf2 a couple of years ago. He was always nice to me, despite how big of a douchebag I was back then, and still remains nice to me today. I know he would do well as soldier because he's a smart player and has talent. <3
There could be a million things causing this.
Have you tried the basics: verifying your game cache files, defragging your hard drive. Are you on wireless or wired into the internet? Are you certain that you changed nothing with your game settings or computer settings before this started happening?
You need to give as much information as possible.
I guess this is never going to happen :(
By the way, if anyone wants to check out my cfg files, here are the links to my aliases and binds - I keep them in separate files cause I like them organized like that.
useofYou're right. Looking more closely, it looks like you have done all your alignment with a proportional font. You need to set your text editor to use a monospace (all characters have the same width) font like Courier New or Consolas.
edit: nixnyte beat me to it.
nixnytein your notepad file, change the font to a monospace one and re-adjust everything. while it may be a little tedious, the majority of players who would download that cfg will be viewing it in a monospace text editor once they do so, so having the webpage display whichever font you're using will be irrelevant after the users download the file (making it annoying to edit in most cases)
THANK YOU GUYS. Hopefully this will work.
While changing my font, I noticed these options (in the black square.)
Would any of these settings help?
Edit: apparently I have to at least enable global font for the font change to even take effect.
Edit.1: It works perfect now. Thanks a lot guys.
useofThe short answer is that if you want to line text up vertically and have it look right for *everybody* that sees it, you must do all the alignment with spaces instead of with tabs.
I tried doing this, and it simply didn't work :(
This is kind of a weird question so I posted this in off topic.
I have my own custom cfg, and one of the main components is a file called binds.cfg
I created this file from scratch because I wanted a neatly organized file that I could show to other people without them having to actually download my cfg and open it via notepad. I do this by uploading the file to my dropbox/public folder and sharing the public link.
The problem is that when viewing the file in a web browser, the formatting is off.
Example:
Here is what the file looks like in notepad
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/43946806/binds.png
Notice the formatting in the "Voice Command Index" section, it's neatly aligned vertically.
Here is what it looks like in my web browser
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/43946806/binds1.png
Can someone please help me figure out how to edit this in notepad to make the formatting match in a web browser?
If it's too much of a hassle to help on the forum and someone wants to add me on steam to help, I'll make it worth your time by giving you an item or something that you'd like.
TwilitlordA couple things: configs should actually still work in tf/cfg, that's where I've been editing mine and they work fine. They rolled over there too. Maps are better put into tf/maps so that they show up in the dropdown menu for a local match (if you still use the menu command and not the console, I guess).
+1
At first I created custom/mystuff/cfg but then I realized that steampipe moved my old cfg into the new tf/cfg location. So I deleted the cfg in /custom and I just use the /tf/cfg and everything works fine.
I believe it's this one server in particular that is the culprit
67.219.107.6:27015
Thanks to my boy jjp, I modified my windows hosts file to block pinion IP's.
After doing this, I no longer got the ad when joining the server
I did however have to sit and wait ~20 seconds for the motd to close, so it still won't block it fully.
tl;dr the adblock still works for me, it's just this particular server is extra tricky about forcing their ads.
Just a few minutes ago, I loaded tf2 and joined a pub, and actually jumped in my seat from the excruciating volume of a stupid pinion ad.
I've had the source adblock (protect.cfg) for a while now and it's always worked great.
Did the full steampipe update break this or is my protect.cfg suddenly not executing or something weird?
Just in case anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, you can find the adblock here https://github.com/CasualX/SourceProtect
