#23 Champions League discussion in Off Topic

I'm weird as shit and have a fave team in each country..

Germany: Bayern (I lived in germany for a bit and that was my fave team when I was there (kindergarden - grade 2)

England: Man Utd (When I moved to Canada, that was the only team televized (around 1998) and watching them be comeback kings made me fall in love!

Spain: Real Madrid (Lots of Croatian players played there, including Luka Modric who's there right now!)

Italy: AC Milan (One of my all time favourite players Zvonimir Boban is an AC Legend.)

All in all, CL is my favourite time of year with the exception of Euro/World Cup.

#41 Protein Powder in Off Topic
joddvisitnigPlatinumisopure is straight up protein, no carb/sugar fillers. But its also only 2.5lbs and costs $45. I can get same amount from optimum nutrition for the same price. Tbh I would rather just spent the money saved from buying a cheaper protein on creatine which probably helps just as much when it comes to working outcreatine monohydrate is a whole other beast - i would never compare it with any protein in relation to how the aforementioned supplements would effect your workout. they are two vastly different products.

protein =/= creatine.

for fastest results you can take both. (note that creatine occurs naturally in your body)
To put it in basic terms, creatine simply creates water weight.

#29 Protein Powder in Off Topic

Actually there are different kinds of protein powders. ^

There's slow and fast release protein. For a quick guide on what they are: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/md99.htm

Also like the previous person posted, don't rely on protein from powder alone. Make sure you eat lots of high protein foods (chicken breast, turkey breast, tuna, other lean meats, kidney beans etc)

It would also be a good idea to take out simple carbs out of your diet, more details here: http://www.fitday.com/fitness-articles/nutrition/carbs/simple-vs-complex-carbohydrates.html#b

So many loose ends tied, it was intense!

Is this the end, or is it really a new beginning?

#23 120 hz laptops in Hardware
thrasherI picked up an "open box" Toshiba Qosmio (their gaming line) on newegg. By "open box" it really meant that the original box was damaged in shipping and it had to be reboxed. 120hz laptop for $1200, awesome purchase. Look into the Qosmio line. It's cheaper than the asus or Alienware ones, and they are very good.

my qosmio is 60hz :( and i paid the same price.. fml

#2 LF IM Pocket mentor in Mentoring
morning_foxHey I'm morningfox and I was wondering if there was an IM player out there who maybe had some extra time on his hands who wouldn't mind helping me with some mistakes I make when pocketing besides DM issues.

Thanks!

lots of potential for him, he doesn't rage + wants to improve!

#64 ESEA Map Suggestions in TF2 General Discussion

As much as gpit is disliked by the players, it certainly makes for a very entertaining match to watch.

My vote is to keep the current rotation.

#29 Fat shaming in Off Topic

If someone is overweight/obese and care about their health, they'll work to better themselves.

It can be hard to tell a friend, especially if it's a girl.. But it's better they hear it from someone that cares then a random stranger who is out to make her feel bad.

Eventually she'll come to her own (hopefully).

If you do decide to help her straighten out her life make sure she knows that exercise alone doesn't help, and neither does diet alone. It needs to be a fine balance of both.
