was reading some collected Ada Louise Huxtable essays on modern architecture, but my library got all jumbled when i moved recently so i've mostly been rereading Larry Niven short stories since then

i always thought it a lot of the charm of the book. deepens the lore and prevents you from contextualizing the worldbuilding as a version of our own.

i got the 1000th post on a thread and everyone -fragged me

its pretty easy for most people to save up for a new phone every couple years if you find value in having a good phone. if u dont then dont watch the press conference ad. people who are fine with $150 phones are as blessed as those with $1000 phones

also u shouldnt need more than 64gb on a phone unless you take lots of videos so really the best model is $1000 not $1500

Does anyone have stats or facts about how much these things actually help in the long run? (not Tino making up optimistic numbers but actual real metrics, like growth stats from ETF2L/ESEA) Or any evidence that it helps anyone other than pros (banny)?

Great Santa Barbara Oil Slick of course, the perfect trek through his career, performed at his stylistic peak.
Of studio albums though, it's probably the double album release of America. I think it's his most consistently realized and along with than the Fare Forward Voyagers title track its the most successfully transcendent music he ever made (he says as much himself). Two runner-ups for me are Death Chants, being more consistent and human, and Fare Forward Voyagers, mostly for the title track. Underrated picks are Railroad, Womblife, and his split with Leo Kottke and Peter Lang.
