#16 CPU-Intergrated Graphics in TF2? in Hardware

I tested this a while ago, but I got around 200fps in 6s matches when uncapped with my 4770k. Probably not accurate though, since tf2 got updates that made it worse

#4 Stupid question about srcdemo/lawena recording in Customization

Sorry for the long bump. Got the VDMs working, but have ran into another problem: Tf2 says it's recording audio, but the files are ending up empty when I put them into virtualdub. I am guessing this is a problem with virtualdub but who knows. Figured I wouldn't make a whole new thread. Up until a few days ago it was working fine.
I think it could be a problem lawena, srcdemo or virtualdub but possibly tf2 in general. Not sure. I keep the in game volume with the console command at the default (believe its 1, though I play at 0.05). Sometimes I turn the sound down in the windows mixer, but that shouldn't affect what it records, right?

I can include screenshots when I get home, but basically the video goes fine but the sound isn't recording. I will try listening to the .wav files separate from virtualdub as well, am guessing it won't work though

Really liked the frags and editing, but would have been better with better/more color correction/grading and a better movie config Just didn't look as good as a lot of other frag videos, imo at least. Could be totally wrong.

#35 TF2Movies.org in Videos

Could someone enlighten me as how there are movies that are anything more than frags with music? Like can they have intricate plot lines or something? Or does that just mean edited to make the frags and music flow together or something?

#6 overclocking question for tf2 in Hardware
BooopHow much of a difference in fps do you guys get from changing balanced to max performance in power settings? (almost negligible for me)

Pretty sure that just makes the cpu not able to slow down its clock speeds and throttle you (ie going from 4ghz down to 2.8 if there's not as much % usage)

#1 overclocking question for tf2 in Hardware

Hi all, I'm just wondering how much of an effect overclocking your system has on tf2. I'm currently running an i7 4770k and a gtx760 running stock speeds, though they're both overclockable. I notice when playing my cpu only uses about 40% according to the task manager, and the gpu around the same or less (Depending on movie config vs playing config). I can record a benchmark or something if that helps. I've been trying to render a lot of long demos with srcdemo2 and lawena and it's been going pretty slow, but it doesnt look like anything is bottlenecking it. Then is it right to say that OC'ing would make no difference?
I'd prefer to just keep at stock speeds and not put too much excessive wear and tear on my computer, but I realize a small overclock probably wouldnt hurt much. Thanks.

edit: Thanks dash, turns out it was on balanced settings. I'll probably try OCing tomorrow in scrims and see if there's any improvement
