But, as a new streamer like myself I want to be more in it (Streaming) like what should I stream or how to make people know about my channels etc. After all, making some money is what I wanted to do with streaming. There is this eBook (Twitch Streaming Guide) which helped me a lot. But, I have a different question that needs to be answered. Should stream the old games too or should I just stick with the new ones? I mean, what are my chances about streaming old games?Nice necro bump. I'm no expert to answer your question, but I would guess that your chances of streaming old games(depends) won't go so well in terms of viewership since twitch is full of people who want whatever's mainstream, only those who are popular enough in those games can make it work.
if you do make new tutorials you should probably do it with the new OBS Studio as is better in nearly every way and has lots of new features that are helpful for streaming tf2 (at least I've found them to be) like automatic scene switching (for going between tf2 and pug sites/desktop, integrated clr browser support for twitchalerts and nice looking transitions
I feel like there's some easy way to do this with aliases and a cross hair switcher but I'd like it so that I could have my damage text batching window to be changed to the biggest for pistol (secondary for scout) but change back to regular individual shots (I use 0.2 I think) for scatter/primary, then back to the max window for mele so you can see bleed damage add up.
I've also been trying to make it work with a view model toggle so that whenever I pull out mele it by default turns on viewmodels regardless of if I had them on before a d then if I switch back to scstter/pistol the viewmodels turns off. This first part works fine but I'm trying to figure out if I can just hit one key to toggle the viewmodels on and get rid of the thing that changes them when switching between weapons (atm I can hit my bind to toggle them on but they turn back off again as I switch weapons).
I imagine I could just have the viewmodel toggle also change the aliases for different slots but idk how to make it switch back and forth (unless the same syntax for cycling chat binds works for this application)
Also I'm a retard and can't figure out how people do scripts that refill their ammo without touching resupply cabinets (is it switching to the same loadout slot? Idk)
Also for some reason when I tried to get my uber bind to do spec previous or whatever it goes twice (when I click mouse2 and release it presumably) and idk how to fix this
Also on the topic of loadout switching I've seen people have binds to switch to kritz and say it in chat which I never figured out how to do, and also is it possible to do that on soldier so I can like rebind my viewmodel toggle to be a lower fov for original so the stupid floating hand isn't in the way?
One last thing is I found the new minimal viewmodels look good on some slots/loadouts/classes would it be doable to make original have min viewmodels but not stock or something line that assuming I have two item presets?

CorsaIt's ideal to not require captaining if they add some type of ranking/experience system like they did for their csgo faceit system, similar to csgo's esea/cevo. It's way quicker, more efficient, and just as fair as captaining if done right.
true but then what do you do to get people to not just continue playing aidschamp all day?
last i checked 0 people signed up for the faceit cup but maybe everyone is queuing in the daily ladder
I would really like to see faceit create a captaining system similar to pugchamp (as a separate service from the ladders & cups they already have)
It doesn't even need to be complicated either it would just need to do a few things and it'd be fine
- let people add up on multiple classes which they wish to play (!add from irc)
- once two people add as captain the draft starts and people ready with the trumpet
- randomly determines which captain gets first pick
- determine who gets captain by who has played more games (or some simple metric like that)
- allow people to request subs and let the captains choose from the pool of applicants (so that if they message someone on their friends list they don't have to bait them and have the spot stolen)
- same map ban system as is used in faceit right now (perhaps with the addition of a few maps like metalworks)
honestly i think the faceit system is already 100x better than pugchamp this would surely make everyone make the switch
