just setup my computer with a new wifi card (campus for some reason decided to use wifi instead of updating its ethernet infrastructure or w.e.)
did a speedtest and got insane up/down and good ping

tested a dm server earlier tonight and got relatively stable ping (30ish to chi) but now its spiking all over from 50-150 (jump servers, pugchamp)
tried the generic drivers and the ones from the manufacturer havent yet tried the chipset ones
tried a fix to disable auto configuration for wifi which is supposed to make it stop searching for wifi spots which seemed to work but i guess didnt fix the problem
i used my phone for a pug a few days ago before the network card came and had much more stable ping but it was using data lol
tl;dr am i just fucked if im on wifi and there's a heavy load from other people in the dorm or is there something I can do

If all goes according to plan IM and open will be combined so we get to farm both divisions...

probably going to use it mostly just in the bottom corner not full screen so doesn't need to be super clear 1080p or w.e.

for some reason people actually think baloo is a good ultiduo map but it's basically who hits the airshot or who's med hits more xbows
tbh this looks like a shittier version of baloo, no idea why there are 4 random floating platforms and the surfing thing is cool I guess but if you're going in that direction you may as well do what a lot of jump maps do and make a tiny ledge at the end that edge bugs you so as to avoid fall damage (you could probably ask benroads or someone who actually knows shit about mapping for specifics), otherwise I see no point in trying to surf cause it makes you a super easy target to splash and doesn't slow you down enough to negate a significant amount of fall damage to be worth it

I feel like it'd be a lot easier if people put the name of their favorite tracks instead of just a YouTube link so people like me on mobile can just scan through the thread without having to open the youtube app a gazillion times and switch back and forth.

Wasn't sure how it worked in terms of which maps are played in what weeks and how the team matchups work (thought you may play two different teams on different maps each week but it looks like its just 1 team on 2 maps from what you said)
Assuming there's 8 weeks and 9 teams in prem that would work but i feel like in IM or open you would only get to play 8 teams in the season vs up to 16 which makes it much more beneficial to get an easy schedule
That being said it makes each week more fun and variety is never a bad thing (unless you have to play reckoner....)
