I'm trying to set this as my new background image (4096x2048)

but when I convert it into a .vtf in VTFedit, this happens:

any advice? I've done this before with a 2048x1024 image I currently have before this one and can't remember exactly what I did in VTFedit when I converted it, but it didn't come out as pixelated as this one.

please explain what pinging a completely different server is supposed to accomplish

Maybe he's trying to diagnose an Internet connection loss as possible cause of the Mumble disconnections.

Post your entire launch parameters.
Check for weird programs running on background.
Have you physically cleaned your PC up? Maybe dust cluttered around can cause performance issues related to elevated temperatures.
Do you have spare PC components to exchange for your current ones? Maybe there's a faulty part that's causing you trouble you might want to identify by replacing them and testing if everything goes back to normal.
I have a PC worse than yours and i get +250fps constant in dx81 1920x1080, although I run TF2 on an SSD, so it's definitely a weird issue.

Edit: check for faulty cables as well, you could try replacing HDMI/VGA, and PSU cables.
Edit 2: does this only happen in TF2, or your PC is generally underperforming in games where the entire PC *should* be doing well?

I know this has been stated already in the original document and the previous comments, is Brasil Fortress = LBTF? Where do they currently stand/what's their current situation and administration (besides Aratinga whom I know) amidst all this mess? I'm genuinely curious.

I'm also reading back through the doc again.Brasil Fortress has nothing to do with FBTF, it's a completely separated league with its own admins and medals.Ah, I never knew. So FBTF is doing their own thing as well now or are they working together to some degree with BR Fortress?
