Whitelist generation on whitelist.tf is working now.
- Changed menu with the presets
- Added a bunch of presets (ozfortress, AziaFortress, Wireplay, CEVO)
- added the requested 'allow new items added to tf2' setting
- working 'Show reskin' toggle
- direct download of the .txt files possible
- updated the help and about pages
Please create new whitelists and please report any bugs you might encounter (and what you did so I can reproduce the error). Any positive/negative feedback or feature requests are also welcome.
That would be a thing I should add; then you can have a lobby config based on a league config and automatically allow all new hats/miscs/actions/weapons without having to regenerat the same whitelist, although the latter would respect the reskins and new added weapons.
Working on displaying and managing of the reskins now, that is why you can't generate custom whitelists yet.
The whole point of this whitelist generator is to have some say in the weapons being allowed/banned though console (which can only be done by setting mp_tournament_whitelist with a valid whitelist file and restarting the tournament mode to 'parse' this whitelist)
You can not block stock weapons with a whitelist (believe me, I've tried), the game won't allow this and you'll end up with an error line in console and the stock weapon in your hands. I can't be done without a sourcemod plugin (the reason you need to install that when you want to ready steady pan on your server).
MrPoT4tOMay I suggest a preset for Ultiduo too?
WiethoofdAt launch it probably will only have the presets (a few more than in the screenshot)

Did not know about this tool, does it still work? But it requires installation (Windows) and not just a browser. And has only local presets with some exporting required if that hasn't changed. If everything works you can link everyone the whitelist you've generated, have them download it/preview it/modify it.
My tool can be converted to work on the server you're running TF2 if there is a apache webserver running there as well to generate the whitelist to a file and have it on the server ready to use in a lobby/mix.
Currently doing some reworking of the whole thing and getting a dedicated domain name.
A little teaser:

At launch it probably will only have the presets (a few more than in the screenshot) and possibly the ability to generate without sharing. Some more code needs to be written to handle presets and generated whitelists. :P The test version worked, but was very sloppy.
Planned features/ideas:
- Downloading of a whitelist .txt and a .cfg to set everything up on a server
- Support for medieval (?) (or at least a medieval preset)
- Ready Steady Pan preset (requires reskins to be deselected)
Starkgreat idea but could you implement a button that automatically disables/enables everything?
Those will be presets (at the moment '0' disables all weapons, just visiting the page enables everything. ID 109 is the UGC HL whitelist atm.
This was just to put a working version online, waiting for feedback, suggestions like the ones above, cross browser layout issues to fix/test.
NusemanIt would be nice to see NA presets so that I can fiddle around with them.
Already part of the planned features
Atmo, fixed that in my post, but plz get a decent UBB parser on that url-tag, thnx.
The last couple of days/weeks I've been working on a tool (it's just a website) to be able to generate your own whitelists; you can find it here.
With this you see the possible weapons to pick/ban, every reskin will automatically be allowed if the normal version of the weapon is.
Features:
- Automatic updating with every TF2 update (always the newest hats/miscs)
- Share whitelists after generating
Known issues:
- Crossbrowser layout compatibility
- No redirect after generating (Whitelist ID is in the file and filename)
- The tool isn't finished yet!
Planned features
- More templates from competitive configs/leagues
- Tweaking the generation process
Please try it, and post what is broken or what you'd like to see in this tool or just that you're happy there finally is such a tool.
