I personally don't mind him too much, but I believe a lot of the frustration comes from him getting a front seat in communication with one of the least communicative gaming companies out there.
He arranged an interview with Gabe Newell and now also the TF2 team apparently and in the meantime the TF2 comp community (seemingly) doesn't get listened to. I can see how that frustrates some people, especially on TFTV.
Also his videos obviously attract that hiveminded circlejerk that freaks out whenever Valve says or does anything. So some people probably see his retarded fanbase and assume that VNN must be the same type of person.
From what I've seen people say who know him personally he's a really cool guy though and puts a lot of effort into what he does

there's a lot of people that don't want to watch VNN so I'll make a tl;dr

Valve was playtesting the new jungle map on a private Casual server along with some of the Saxxy winners from this year. They were invited to come to Valve HQ.
VNN interviewed the TF2 team and will be making a video on that soon (I doubt this'll include questions about comp. Will probably be more centered around the pyro changes/jungle map)

Props to him. He's probably one of the fastest improving players in the game atm because of it

Uninstall all games for a while. Worked for me during exams and when I was feeling like I was really getting addicted. Use an extension to block Twitch, TFTV, etc if those distract you too much

You can do that for as long as you need. If you feel like you might have it a bit more under control after a week you can reinstall games. But keep in mind it's a constant struggle to battle an addiction.

Look for something else to keep you busy when you uninstall/block everything otherwise you'll be bored out of your mind. Go for a walk, ride your bike around the block, make a healthy salad, etc

Played a very watered down version which the DM called Fire of Eygrima on some imageboard years ago. Was mostly based around us making the choices and the DM writing a cool story based on our choices. Was a lot of fun but eventually fell apart as the regulars were getting burnt out. We did like 4 campaigns and died in all of them. Lasted for like 1.5 years though which is quite long for something like that. rip Eygrima 2012-2014

Since February I've started playing 5e with a group of Americans. Lots of fun. Campaign was homebrew by the DM but she wants to start one of the official campaigns starting this Saturday instead. Biggest issue is timezones because I'm the only European but I can afford to stay up a bit longer

known people: Truktruk and Sezco
Both really down to earth people and always enjoyed their chill streams. Sezco's one of the most interesting people I know.
Both of them sort of moved on from this community but I'd say they still count.

lesser known: N0kk and Merlin (mods from Rays' channel)
The 2 of them have some great synergy. Had the pleasure of being with the 2 of them in a voice chat quite often and was always a great experience. Both really wholesome people and their voices are really soothing imo

it's intentional. This mod doesn't use r_drawviewmodel 0. It moves the weapon model away from the screen which also moves the medibeam away.

You can reinstall the mod but not apply the mod to mediguns. Then you can still see the beam. If you don't want the viewmodel you can then write a simple viewmodel script with something along the lines of "slot2;r_drawviewmodel 0" in there

same thing applies to the flamethrower

When he streamed still I remember him saying he never liked how the vids turned out and hated rewatching them

Didn't know youtube finally enabled 60 fps on cw's vids. Took so long I thought they were rendered in 30 fps

not really a fragvid because it's a stream highlight

bonafide still has like 80 hours played/2 weeks on his steam profile. Not sure how much of that is TF2. Also I played a tf2center lobby with him a couple of days ago. He's probably done playing TF2 seriously but you'd be better off just asking him probably

He recently broke a Quake speedrun WR so I guess he's still videogaming. Removing his TF2 videos must be quite recent because I watched a couple of them like 3-4 weeks ago
