cl_crosshair_file "" has always been a pain for scripting but there's an easy workaround
in your cfg folder make a new cfg file. give it any name. example: xhair.cfg
Open it in notepad and put cl_crosshair_file "" in it.
Now whenever you want your bind to use it you use the command Exec xhair

Haven't seen my dad in a couple of months because he's often abroad. So gonna spend NYE with him.
Later in the night I'll probably be going out by myself. Didn't feel like asking any friends because they're all celebrating with family and I'm planning on making it late.
Probably around 4-5am my time a couple of West coast NA friends are doing a one shot DnD campaign so I'll be celebrating NYE a second time with them through video chat.

I think that's a feature of the cheat cathook (or whatever the cheat is called by that tard that made catbots)
It's been around for a while but I've only seen it once in a pub which was about a year ago

ShemrI tried to make a vtf crosshair similar to this, but couldnt get vtfedit to recognize the part of the line which has lower opacity. If anyone has a solution for this let me know. (the png file: http://imgur.com/sOPXGgM)

I used paint.net's VTF plug-in. Didn't test in-game but opening again in paint.net still has the correct opacities

Here you go. Either make a VMT file for it using another VMT file as base (you can open them in notepad)
But if you've not done this before it's easier to have an already working VMT file (example: crosshair1.vmt) then just rename shemr.vtf to crosshair1.vtf

You need to make a new folder in your tf folder (I just named it TGA_folder)
Make Lawena put the TGA files in this folder
I think this fix also works for the AVI recorder but have only tested it with Lawena thus far
