Did you mess up when trying to install a VTF crosshair? Perhaps you deleted something from the game vgui folder instead of the custom folder.
Verify game cache and see if it helps
(remove anything crosshair related from custom as well)

Also I've never heard of crosshair0. Not sure why the game is saying it's missing because afaik it doesn't exist.
Aside from crosshair1 to crosshair7 there is Default and None. Neither are ever referenced as crosshair0 in the game files

Did you make a VMT and VTF called crosshair0 in custom and have the weapon txt files use this crosshair0 but without the right path, causing it to check vgui instead of custom?

it's his job. None of that "haha it's just a game dude relax haha" shit. That stops applying once some company pays a couple of millions so he can play videogames for a living.

If a football player would say something like that in public they'd face a suspension and the club would be fined. At least that's how things are handled where I live and that's exactly how OWL handled it as well.

Is this strawpoll meaningful though? because people who visit tftv less than 7 times per week are unlikely to find this thread before it dies

Any data gathered will be biased towards the highest visit numbers unless you continuously bump this thread for a week or 2 so all of the less frequent visitors get a chance to vote

It should be pointed out people reacted disappointed because they thought this HL tournament is replacing a 6s tournament.
Wiethoofd and Stinson seem to have misinterpreted the negative feedback. This isn't about HL vs 6s. It's about everyone expecting a 6s LAN from Essentials and then suddenly being told about a HL LAN, causing people to believe this is organised by Essentials instead of a 6s LAN which would mean there won't be any 6s LANs until i63.

If Stinson would've said this in his post it would've made things a lot clearer and there wouldn't have been (as much) negative feedback.

try changing the x and y values to 0. I think that should fix it.
Width and Height should be fine.
If it doesn't, try 32 for x and y and see what changes. Shouldn't be too hard to find the correct values
(no in-game way to reload this. You'll need to restart your tf2 each time you save the changes to the txt file)

Did you also fix it redirecting people who don't use adblock? Because that happens every second time I try to open the lobby page and that's also been happening for over a year.
How about people getting autorep'd because the plug-in incorrectly detects people offclassing after they switch back to the right class? Got banned twice in a row for that last time I tried playing centers. Has been happening ever since the no-offclass option was added.

Also the last post in this thread was 9 months ago. You could've just not necro'd and it wouldn't have been bumped to the top again

If it's purple/black checkers you messed up the name of the crosshair somewhere (check the name in the txt file, check the vtf name, check the vmt name, check the crosshair name inside the vmt file)

If it's an off center crosshair that is cut off or duplicated you messed up the crosshair coordinates in the txt file. If the VTF file is 64x64 make sure to change the txt file coordinates to reflect that

No. This is what using VTF crosshairs for custom crosshairs does. It's also what the smaller explosions mod uses except it changes a particle name instead of a crosshair coordinate within the same file.
I've been using this method for 2 years now. It works on all sv_pure settings

"cl_crosshair_file default" looks ugly and is bigger than the scattergun's cl_crosshair_file "". You can make it work with a simple script though if you don't mind

Since you know how to use vtf crosshairs, alternatively do this:
Open tf_weapon_grenadelauncher.txt
replace the crosshair section with

This will make cl_crosshair_file "" crosshair for the grenade launcher the same as the scattergun's

I was new and struggled to go positive in pubs.
Tired of feeding on backburner pyro I disconnect from my local hightower pub and open the server browser.
I join barnblitz and decide that I will spam stickies. I had watched a competitive eXtv cast once. I had decided that I would finally abandon my backburner ways and main a good class like demo.

I start on red and make my way to the blu spawn during setup. A medic puts his faith in the baby gibus demoman I was and decides to pocket me. The gates open and I start putting down traps wherever my fov_desired 70 guides me. Our team is doing well and holds of endless waves of waddling soldiers with medics. The medic and I camp in the barn next to a baby engineer with a sentry basically placed on cart tracks.
I'm doing a lot better than expected. Maining demo isn't that bad.
I die and the sentry gun is destroyed during overtime. I look at my score. I'm 42-3. I'm excited. Demoman is amazing!
I PM the friend that got me into TF2 a few weeks before and tell him how much I enjoy the game now (I had transitioned from ps3 Call of Duty that same month. TF2 was my first PC game so I had to learn how to use M+KB. I was struggling until now)
I go to the second point and look at the scoreboard.
Everyone on the server but me has the same ping. Bot. Bot. Bot. It is everywhere.
I look back at the cart. A hatless pyro is standing still next to the cart. Pocketed by a medic standing still. The pyro is trying to put me on fire across the map. I look at my medic. His returning soulless stare takes away every bit of joy that still remained. I sink into my chair.
As I see this my friend replies.
"I'm happy you're enjoying the game!"
"Yea! :)" I reply and go offline

I exit TF2. I did not play for a couple of days. I decided not to main demoman after all.
