Best possible result for all involved is for Pyro to be completely removed from the game & replaced by the Guard Dog. Its an easy win/win situation.

So which new map being released has the best chance of breaking into the 6's rotation?
Huge thanks to Slicerogue is a Trashcan. Awesome sportsmanship to stick it out and play that match with our client issues. GG and GL rest of season

HildrethSpaceCadetIt also has to do with the mentality of US sports fans in relation to soccer. It is basically treated as a win/win situation no matter what happens.
If the USMNT wins, people become "big fans" and say stupid shit about how the USA can beat other countries in soccer when we don't really care about it or that its not our #1 sport.
If the USMNT losses, those same people say that "soccer sucks" or "Its only soccer, we don't care about that sport here".
A country like USA is so different culturally when it comes to football. Looking over your team is a pretty average, still calling up Jonathon Spector, without Donovan / Dempsey I don't see where the quality is in that team - Though granted losing to Trinidad and Tobago probably should not happen.
For England it's different, football is part of our national identity as the inventors of Association Football, losing to Iceland was deemed a national embarrassment, even losing to USA in 1950 World Cup was deemed the worst result in English football history (prior to last year), our media hammers our National team on a consistent basis. I mean we managed to win our group as expected and the team gets criticized for not winning the group with style, there is very little pleasing our media and as a result, our national expectations are raised to an unprecedented level every year.
Must be even more difficult considering your most recent World Cup performances. There is an English commentator who has the perfect voice and knowledge for the really big international matches that get shown on TV. I forget his name but he has been around forever and it always the go-to guy for any big matchup. Any chance you know who I am talking about?
Over time, I think the US team will continue to grow and learn. There are new soccer leagues popping up all over and its way more noticeable today than when I was a kid. That's some progress in the right direction, even if that is over 20 years ago.
For myself, Hockey will always be my #1 sport. I can watch it anytime and be involved in the game even if my team is not playing. Playoff hockey is on another level and the most exciting. Playoff Baseball is a close second in excitement, especially when your team is involved. You hang on every single pitch and the feeling is stretched out for such a long game. However, Soccer has grown on me in the past 10 years and I really enjoy watching the national teams duke it out, it doesn't even have to be the USA team for me to enjoy watching soccer.
The biggest problem I have with watching soccer here in the US, its the camera angles. When you watch the World Cup or Premier matches, the camera angles are very wide and cover the entire field from top to bottom. That means you can see a player making a run away from the ball on the far side and anticipate watching the entire play develop around that run. If you watch MLS soccer, the camera angles are more suited to American Football and they focus in on guy who has the ball. You cannot see the players on the far sides who are making runs and completely forget about trying to see an offside.

Really embarrassing for the USMNT. It just highlights how much work still needs to be done to compete on the world stage if we can't qualify in such a weak conference. I am a hockey guy and with the exception of Philadelphia Flyers Playoff Hockey, nothing gets me more pumped up than the USA during World Cup. This is a major let down for me, I was looking forward to this.
Even though USA Soccer is still growing, it will always suck that our more gifted athletes will always be drawn to other sports at young ages like Football/Baseball/Basketball. Our young athletes have so many options for sports compared to most other countries who focus everything on Soccer from a young age.
I don't think it would be a stretch of the imagination to say the USA would have one of the best worldwide soccer teams every year if our top athletes were focused on that sport.
