#2291 PC Build Thread in Hardware

First of all it's not 50/50. Both are used at the same time, can't replace one with the other.
Secondly I have no frame of reference so the middle of what would it be?

I could look up which programs can/do use CUDA and for which functions and then list them and ask you whether or not you'll use them but honestly, put in some effort yourself.

#27 PC shut downs in Hardware

No you don't understand. GPU-Z needs to be running during the crash. How am I supposed to figure out why it crashed without knowing what happened before the crash?
Whatever happened before the crash caused it, not what happened afterwards.

Logging 10 seconds of idling does nothing, this is the same as the screenshot before.

Just leave it running in the background.

Well do you think you'll need CUDA?
Also some sort of performance guideline, either for CPU or GPU, ideally both, would be useful.

ECC yes/no?
CUDA yes/no?
When? SKL-X and Zen with even more cores coming soon-ish. Not sure what that'll do to the prices.

#13 Player distribution in TF2 over map/gamemode in Projects
200I will never understand what the fuck are all those thousands of people are doing on 2fort, imo it is literally one of the worst maps, super choky without any space to jump or flank. I feel just physically sick when I join a 2fort server.

Because CTF is popular.
Why is CTF popular?

Because unlike koth and pl the timelimit won't run out any time soon and unlike pl and cp you never have to move your sentry nest or pay any attention to the objective at all.

Did you never notice that 90% of the players on Valve servers just straight up ignore the objective?

I need the file and preferably from after a crash.
Those are just normal idle stats.

It's throttling because your cooler came loose.

Tried updating/rolling back?
Also try logging the GPU temps to file with GPU-Z.

Wouldn't cheap out on the SSD too much.
Define light gaming, RX 460 / 560 might be enough (460 = 1050 Ti -25%).

ECC yes/no?
Overclocking yes/no?

Used office monitors are cheap/free, could try that. With that an 8 core might be possible.

He could go mATX, mostly for the size, doesn't make much of a difference in terms of price.

Some minor changes/suggestions.

I know Australia is a bit ahead of us, but I didn't know it was by half a year.

Also sick double post. Did you spend one and a half hours searching for the edit button but couldn't find it?
