The multiplayer is fucking shit. Everything I hate about modern FPS games mixed with supposed 'old school' mechanics, but it's definitely skewed on the former side. It has a severe identity crisis.
It turns out Certain Affinity are co-developing the multiplayer so it's really not much of a surprise that we aren't getting what many people hoped for.
On a side note, has anyone read Masters of Doom? Great book.

Yeah, this game can get tae fuck. What a shame honestly! My first delve into online multiplayer was Zdaemon and Skulltag back when I only had 56k dialup. I'm a massive fan of the originals, and normally I am interested to see modern takes on classic games but I'm fed up of this DLC bullshit.

I tried putting "+com_skipIntroVideo 1" into the launch options, but that just causes it to freeze immediately on a black screen.
I had the same issue. Try running it in windowed mode using "+set r_fullscreen 0" in the launch options and then change to full screen afterwards if you want.
