I think these guys had a big issue of power back then
Rn we have different problems, but this is still good advice and worth taking in still

After skipping 4 generations of Pokémon™ games, I've returned back to where I started; back to the Sinnoh region, in the upcoming newest remakes Pokémon™ Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon™ Shining Pearl.
With nostalgia of playing the original games on an r4 coming back to me, I have now decided to play more "seriously" this time.
Instead of just having a team of my starter Pokémon, evolved into a 1-hit K.O. machine, surrounded by HM slaves, I want to look into competitive Pokémon; learn fundementals on good EV spread, team compositions, movesets, etc.

Anyone out there that can guide me, or even just to trade/fight Pokémon with when wi-fi trades/battles come out
Also, if you're planning to play the newest remakes, what are your goals for them?
