I do try to keep them short, which is easy to do on the maps I've played a bunch and know how to approach, but borneo doesn't have much of a meta yet and I haven't actually scrimmed engineer on this version, so it being long is what kind of winds up happening.
I'd promise to keep the rest under 30 mins but the next map is steel.
KevinIsPwn#1, you can trim youtube videos with the in-browser editor. I'd recommend that.
Thanks, I didn't even know that existed. Will do. (I'm also a complete idiot when it comes to this stuff)
Slin, I have no idea what you're trying to say. Do you want me to stop posting videos, do you not want me to put them in one thread but instead make individual threads for each one like I used to, or what? No one complained when I was posting these last summer.
Almost forgot to post it here. Sorry if you're a hl player who only checks these forums. Starting doing these again, gonna just make this the master thread.

People actually voted for lakeside?
KanecoThe engie play was really interesting, I haven't played much highlander lately , specially with that new weapon, but it does look a bit overpowered seeing this.
I mean, you waste a whole uber with a heavy doing point blank damage to a sentry and you can't take the sentry out, that doesn't seem right, still great use of weapons as it is allowed.
Good video! :)
The rescue ranger's actually well-balanced in terms of highlander and has been in the game for 3 seasons now. It kind of does for engineer what the crossbow does for medic.
The wrangler did most of the work in this clip. It effectively triples healing as well as health. You've always been able to tank a heavy with just the wrangler and a wrench, this isn't any different. That's why you don't solo uber heavies to take down sentries, it doesn't work if you're playing against a competent team/engineer.
Anyway, there's probably a lot of HL clips because UGC started their season while ESEA was still offseason.
No swiftwater, pocket pistol banned. Nice.

One of my friends used this one from LotR: I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
I thought it was pretty good.
I guess it'll be 152 next time.
Maybe make it out of crates with some ramps leading up them or something? There's already crates there on pl_badwater, it won't look very out of place...
Can we just appreciate what a great game that was because holy shit.
brownymasterscrimshawboth of these guys are right and made reasoned arguments yet they're minus fraggedRinse didn't mention the dynamics of running other mediguns for last pushes or metaing the mediguns, which happened a lot on (though plenty of failures doing this). I'd almost agree with Penguin but QF was being tested a lot before LAN (hence why all the invite teams just so happened to be using them during LAN). I'd say the late half of the season shouldn't have been the testing grounds for QF. Calling them right just because you agree with them doesn't make them actually correct in any way.
From what I understood, only Mixup really embraced the qf and the other teams came around to it when they proved to be successful (and because it's so obviously the best choice for mids)? But I don't actually know what the invite teams were or weren't practicing in preparation for lan. Either way, you can't compare a month and a half of testing a new weapon with the years players have had to refine the game as played with ubercharge. And no one was going to take any major risks to counter the qf at the lan itself because too much was on the line.
All I know is the way it's currently being played is really awful to spectate. I think the qf could still be a really great, dynamic addition to the game, and if you ban it prematurely and call it done you'll never know how its use would have evolved. But if this was the pinnacle of TF2 played with the qf? I don't know if I'd watch anymore lans like this.
