Console- Also gigs can be few and far between or frequent as hell. I did 4 shows in one week in september and now I don't have anything until early november
I don't know how the scene is in America but when I was working crew for the last couple years to supplement playing gigs I found that getting involved with or working for someone who does Corporate event set up can be a lot more consistent gig wise, the works not nearly as engaging but you can make a decent wage off setting up lighting and audio equipment for some companies PR do and so on.
