nunya_flickLearn to play the game in tf2c, but dont take it too seriously because tf2c is shit. Then watch some videos. Then just skip open its genuinely a waste of time.
I think you're simplifying it but I get where you're coming from. If you have a lot of playtime in dmixes/pugs you can often make your entry above open and probably around mid (even higher if you have a LOT of experience in prem pugs) but without those avenues you should probs start in open, and it's probably better overall to get playing in an organised setting than to sit on the sidelines grinding dmixes until you feel comfortable enough to debut in mid or something.

* Due to potential conflicts in how KOTH maps affect scoring, we are interested in hearing your thoughts about substituting Product for a previously played map such as Reckoner.
It's not perfect but I think the best solution to this is to apply a 1.66 multiplier for KOTH rounds and round up. (3-0 = 5-0, 3-1 = 5-2, 3-2 = 5-3). It's better to keep the map pool same as ETF2L's than to change the map pool purely because KOTH leads to seeding issues. I don't see anything immediately wrong with the solution and it's definitely gonna be better than what's been happening at LANs for the past few years where you can't play KOTH in group stage if you don't wanna damage your seeding.
Also sick stuff looking forward to gaming 8)

ok i agree that a lot of these clips dont look like anything, but the clip at 50 seconds in seems like irrefutable proof. I am open to the possibility of me being very wrong about this, but I don't get how people can watch that clip and think that's not cheating lol.

What if golden cap didn't exist in the season and you could just draw on points. You could even go down the Football route and just give both teams a point each for draws and have 1 point disappear, it doesn't really matter. GC in non-playoffs games is fuckin pointless.
