STOGEIt showed up as "hudspectatorextras" in vgui_drawtree for me
bump. i'd love to know how to remove this.
mauiihanMR_SLINWhy do people test cheats on an alt account and then publicly announce it AFTER they get the VAC ban?
just because you or all of tftv didnt know, doesnt mean the information wasnt public. in my case - people that are relevant to me - like my community and friends - knew. i put it publicly on my profile for people i didnt know (like you or tftv) to understand.
the point i'm trying to make is that you should have a form verified written proof with a timestamp proving that you said all of this BEFORE you got VAC'd. if you posted it on TFTV there would be a timestamp, but if you post it on your steam profile or tell your friends verbally there isn't.
Why do people test cheats on an alt account and then publicly announce it AFTER they get the VAC ban? I've never seen anyone post on the forums and be like "hey guys sonny black here about to quit TF2 but before I totally ruin my reputation forever as a player and an admin I'm gonna test lmaobox premium on my alt account on a different computer with a different internet connection. I'm also going to download the ESEA client and play a couple pugs to see if I'm the first TF2 player banned on the ESEA client in like 8 years for shits and giggles is that cool with you guys?" (sorry to use you as the example sonny)
Just brainstorming here.
This is a great win for the TF2 community but it's a loss for UGC because it undermines the credibility of the UGC anti-cheat system/team.
i think we've already seen what happened when gravelpit was played in 6s. i like that they picked a new map so we can try a different A/D map.
i'll be at DH Austin but i'm not bringing a computer
really fascinating article. thanks for sharing!
SleepingLifeb4nnyTeams with good results > teams with good friends.
I can't agree with that statement. Personally I'd rather quit the game than hang out with people I hate just because they can do well in a game. Obviously there's a middleground between people you like and people that you can have fun competing with, but just throwing out personalities to play with "the best" is insane unless you're willing to put in the time and effort to get 1st place constantly. There is no economic justification for playing tf2 in comparison to just working any job, even a minimum wage one, so treating this game like a career is absolutely crazy.
What I said doesn't fully apply to you personally b4nny, what with you being in the premier position to become the main streamer of tf2 and the economic support your stream gives you. But to give that advice to anyone else while you know for a fact that they don't have your support network is pretty dumb. For most people 120 hours in 2 weeks is impossible, you can't do that while holding down a job and making time for people in your life that you care about. Simple fact of life that for 99% of the competitive community (let alone the tf2 community) this game is a hobby.
You're taking this quote out of context. The OP (slamberg) is asking a question about how to compete in the most competitive TF2 event in the world. Forming the best team possible requires some effort and sure you'll have to put in some hours to make that happen but if you want to compete with the best then I think you should try to form the best team that you can.
i regret not shouting out the other TFTV casters/crew on tonight's cast: avast, bloodsire, buick, getawhale, marblr, marxist, truktruk and the rest of the team for putting on this show as well. we were able to cover a tremendous amount of matches this season and we're looking forward to bringing you guys future seasons of TF2!
