#478 GXL LAN Fall 2014 in News

Forming a mostly just for fun team full of low open down to like mid silver level players. Still looking for a scout and preferably a roamer. Demo or pocket would also be fine. Add me if interested.

#46 Kaidus' Rollout Workshop - June 22nd 19BST/14EDT in Mentoring
ExquisiteStoneWhy would I be mad he helps people with rollouts, I never said it was bad, I am just saying it is pretty unnecessary for him to invest time in if people could just youtube "Fast process rollout" You can even put kaidus behind the search term.
Also ego wise, I'm a pretty shit jumper, and not even an average pocket (about div4/3 maybe).

It may be hard to understand as someone with as much jumping experience as you stone, but as someone who is fairly new to it they were way more useful than just watching a run through of the roll out.

Crouch dets aren't exactly an "advanced sticky jumping technique" but the workshop vids were the first time I was ever told not to jump. Hell, the workshop vids are where I learned they are even called crouch dets. When watching the the simple rollout videos I never understood how a demo could get so much horizontal speed with so little vertical movement. It can be easy to forget that people don't know things when they have been so obvious to you for so long. That is just one example of something the workshop vids did right.

Now, don't get me wrong you still have to practice, I've put an embarrassing number or hours into just listening to music/a podcast and practicing rollouts, but the workshop vids are an amazing starting block. Thank you kaidus, thanks to you I can rage at demos that are WAAAAAAAYYYYY better than me that they are slow to mid.

#81 ESEA Invite: eLevate TF2 vs. froyotech in Events

Every member of mixup is a world class player without a doubt. Isn't harb the 2nd? most decorated na tf2 player behind banny? There is a reason for that. However, it's hard to take a player seriously when they say the reason the don't try online is because they only care about lan when they aren't winning lan either. Yeah, we know you guys don't try online, but don't insult the players that do.

#75 ESEA Invite: eLevate TF2 vs. froyotech in Events

Guys, I am pretty shit. What else is new?

All I'm saying is that you shouldn't belittle a teams online achievements when the way to get to lan is to win online. Did harb just become one of the best players on the planet by only playing on lan? No he practiced and got better online which is exactly what xts/elevate are doing right now.

#13 i52 Stream Postmortem and GXL in TF2 General Discussion

Anything you can do to reduce backround noise in the casters mics is great.

The 20 second caster/cameraman cheat log is great and if it were possible to line up big plays/airshots with a players/teams cam to show the real life reaction in time with the play on screen it would be awesome.

Split screen demo rollouts are awesome.

Most importantly, keep being the incredible group of people that you are. Seriously, the effort you guys put into i52 was amazing.

WARHURYEAHThe final never took place.

War, you are probably my favorite demo. I love your playstyle and your blogs, they have taught me a ton. But the final did, unfortunately, happen. I know epsilon is a fucking incredible team, but when it came time to play froyo showed up, Epsilon didn't.

#46 Honeysuckle | by Jay in Videos

I like all sort of fragvideos, Super simple ones like Fragged by TLR or highly edited ones like the experiment video. But at some point I still need to be able to tell what is going on. I get that the edit is about the editor and not the frag in this example, but when I literally can't SEE THE KILL why even bother using tf2 to start with? Either way seems like you know your way around whatever editing program you use and hope you improve.

For reference, I know nothing about editing. Or how grammar works.
