#14 Demoman buff? in TF2 General Discussion

Did a few minutes of testing on walkway and with spread on the minimum and max damages I got with pipes/loch were 96-128 and 118-153. Crit pipes always do 336 and loch does 403. This was only a few minutes of testing though so more extreme values are possible I am sure. Without spread pipes do 112 while loch does 134 every time. Crit damage obviously did not change with spread.

Downpour, can the loch really do 175 with spread? That seems like quite the leap from 153 that I was getting. Not to say that 153 is max just that I wouldn't expect that much more damage to be possible.

#50 Instrumental/classical music? in Off Topic

Most if not all of these were mentioned already but holy shit The Planets Suite by Holst is so fucking good. Vivaldi is a pretty cool guy as well.

Mozart's 4th horn concerto is amazing, especially the rondo.
4th horn concerto

Fanfare for the common man simple and incredible
Fanfare for the common man

The entirety of the new world symphony is also incredible but damn the build up at 32:15 into the hit at 32:24 gives me freaking chills.
A new world symphony

I may be a bit biased as I played that last piece in highschool marching band and the horn concerto was my audition piece for college.

I'm not really sure how to word this as non negative as possible, so uhm bump? Mine is a clockwork signing which was covered in the last post but that was nearly a month ago and the wording made me think it would be done by now.

#23 South American Pubbers vs. Pros next sunday in TF2 General Discussion
the_evaThat definitely made me look at the pros like they are douche bags that like to make fun of the pubbers. I want to stay far away from it. My pub is way more fun and fair.

Pubbing may be more fun for you and that is fine, but is is far from fair.

#5 Most players EVER in TF2 General Discussion

It's an even bigger accomplishment when you consider the fact that idling is dead(or maybe there are ways to get around it?)

#19 rip signing? in TF2 General Discussion
AoshimaIunno. If I go on a $200 single malt whisky bender in one night, I'm probably going to enjoy it.

But I'll probably think it was a waste later on.

That said, if people want to spend their money on stuff like this, it's not my (or anyone's, really) job to tell them not too.

First let me say that I spent the money to send players to europe, and the weapon will be a nice bonus.

Secondly, your example is terrible because you said later on you wouldn't enjoy it. If someone continues to enjoy their weapon then it isn't the same.

Thirdly, there are so many things in the world that have no tangible value that people spend money on. Like tattoos and jewelry. Also, an unusual has no more effect on the game than a line of text.

#2 iM bulk intel in Videos

Clicked the link and immediately fullscreened it and sat back. Around 4 minutes in the song changed and I thought wow this is still going on? I was pleasantly surprised to learn it was nearly 7 minutes long with nearly 0 fluff. The over the shoulder rollout was a really nice touch.

Forming a mostly just for fun team full of low open down to like mid silver level players. Still looking for a scout and preferably a roamer. Demo or pocket would also be fine. Add me if interested.

#46 Kaidus' Rollout Workshop - June 22nd 19BST/14EDT in Mentoring
ExquisiteStoneWhy would I be mad he helps people with rollouts, I never said it was bad, I am just saying it is pretty unnecessary for him to invest time in if people could just youtube "Fast process rollout" You can even put kaidus behind the search term.
Also ego wise, I'm a pretty shit jumper, and not even an average pocket (about div4/3 maybe).

It may be hard to understand as someone with as much jumping experience as you stone, but as someone who is fairly new to it they were way more useful than just watching a run through of the roll out.

Crouch dets aren't exactly an "advanced sticky jumping technique" but the workshop vids were the first time I was ever told not to jump. Hell, the workshop vids are where I learned they are even called crouch dets. When watching the the simple rollout videos I never understood how a demo could get so much horizontal speed with so little vertical movement. It can be easy to forget that people don't know things when they have been so obvious to you for so long. That is just one example of something the workshop vids did right.

Now, don't get me wrong you still have to practice, I've put an embarrassing number or hours into just listening to music/a podcast and practicing rollouts, but the workshop vids are an amazing starting block. Thank you kaidus, thanks to you I can rage at demos that are WAAAAAAAYYYYY better than me that they are slow to mid.
