GoobledegakFerskinFuck dude whats the point of making another international lan if we all know 4g is going to roll everyone? I'm not trying to sound rude or have lack of faith but seriously whats the point. There's more to lan than just the tf2

I think he meant sending tf2 teams over. Of course the iseries happens without tf2.

I'm with squid. I mean it's not like he is wrong.

Rooting for cisco because Freestate once refused to drop his scout for an awp. It was so that he could jumpshot a good sightline from a spot he was holding every round in a csgo stream. EDIT FUCK A TEAM CAN'T GET 5 POINTS ON VIADUCT I AM DUMB. freestate to top frag

It may seem like a cutting board, but it doubles as an incredible mousepad.

#16 YAY new mouse ( need pad now ) in Hardware

I know you said you don't want to spend too much, but a heads up is that a nice mousepad really is worth the money. I'd rather have a good pad and a mediocre mouse than a bad pad and a good mouse. The glasspad that dave_ linked may be expensive but holy shit it is worth it. I actually have the icemat that he said it was similar too and it is incredible.

#115 The demoman nerf: a semi-statistical analysis in TF2 General Discussion

I think a big reason demos like myself are hating this nerf so much is because it makes it feel like you have no real role in team fights. Before the nerf the demos role was damage first and foremost, both to soften the bad guys up for your other classes to clean up, and to make space for the team to get in. Now you kind of need your pocket to actually do the damage and you can't make space for your team nearly as well as a jumping soldier. Not to mention your role certainly isn't to clean up on kills like the scouts. So what is your role now? To do a little bit of damage and try not to die. WOOOO that sounds exciting.

With this newest update the only thing demos can do that the pocket can't is traps really. Also holy shit traps are nerfed to hell too. So many of the trap spots I had learned before just don't work now because the radius just doesn't reach as far as it used to.

Demo used to have a really defined niche of being a massive damage dealer but terrible at 1v1 or finishing off weak enemies. Now it feels like his niche is just being better than any of the offclasses.

Maybe I am just bad though iunno.

#53 1/25/15 New Open teams, how are you doing? in TF2 General Discussion
plinkoRainofLightWe won a match but it was overturned on a technicality.
Look, I would feel sorta bad about that, but it's not like it's a secret that the Wrangler is banned in every league.

Yeah, at first I thought it was silly that it was overturned but then I watched the demo I found out he used it against your uber in the second round so the admins were right to overturn it.

#19 1/25/15 New Open teams, how are you doing? in TF2 General Discussion

Honestly it's been alright other than the issues that everyone has been complaining about since before I downloaded tf2 i.e. server lag/client issues and the like. We'd be 2-2 if it weren't for one of our players running a festive wrangler, using it without knowing it was banned and the rest of the team not realizing he had a wrangler.(don't ask me how he didn't know lol) So it isn't like we are having our motivation crushed though maybe we have had an easy schedule so far I wouldn't know.

The only thing I feel I need to point out is something that someone on this site wrote a post of advice for new open teams and he said "If you haven't played in a paid league before, you as a player and your team will become better at a rate you've never imagined. I played in UGC a bit, in 4s/6s/HL, but I keep going back to a paid league because I grow as a player way more than I ever did in UGC"

The reason I bring this up is because it being a paid league has nothing to do with it at all. Wanting to win and practicing is what makes you better. I know this because I played silver last season and my team grew an incredible amount. We typically scrimmed five nights a week 2 times a night for most of the season, went over maps, and did demo reviews. It wasn't because we were paying money to play, but because we wanted to get better. Disclaimer, we had 4 pocket mains on the team playing roamer, scouts, and med, a roamer main playing pocket, and actually a demo main on demo. if that means anything.

This season there is essentially zero chance for my team to even make playoffs and that means the drive to go the extra mile to scrim another night a week, or spend another 10 minutes in dm just isn't there because it means the difference between 40th and 41st place as opposed to 1st and 2nd. Don't get me wrong, I still want to improve and am practicing often even though I am pretty sure next season I won't be on demo again.

#80 The demoman nerf: a semi-statistical analysis in TF2 General Discussion

This season is my first season of esea and my first full season of demo period. I've noticed in scrims that I haven't been putting up as much damage as I was used to when ringing/pugging/switching roles in my silver team. At first I had simply chalked it up to playing against better players(which is still part of the reason) so I'm almost relieved I guess to see that the nerf is having this much of an impact on other players as well.

Not_matlock is correct, The speed edition is very smooth and it is great for a smooth glide. I've heard some say that the lower surface contact area created by the control editions divots allows for a faster glide but they seem to be in the minority.

#8 Looking to form the worst team in Open in Recruitment (looking for players)
Severiangtu definitely need a pyro main in order to be a low open team, i have good friend named cole who would be willing to run full-time pyro in the offseason in order to get your 6s team better! just ask around on the forums and im sure he will pop up, hes already played on the worst teams in open so you wouldnt have to ask twice! good luck and have fun
Thanks for the offer- I think we'd be trying to play as if we were better than we were though, and running the normal 6s meta. A good Scout who could off-class to Pyro when needed would be great, but I think I am missing an inside joke here... I've lurked on these forums for a while, and I do vaguely remember Cole. Anyway, thanks for the bump.

You are definitely missing a dumb inside joke. Cole is the guy who has a quote stack saying something about pryo being the devil.
