#6 3/30/15 S18 regular season lookback in TF2 General Discussion

How did you feel about your season? What were the good and bad points?

I enjoyed it, ended up playing for a team that I enjoyed playing with. Nothing really bad to say about the season itself.

What specific expectations did you have, and which ones got fulfilled? Which ones didn't?

I can't say that I had any really, other than we wouldn't win open and that happened so there is that lol.

How do you feel about the logistics of playing scrims and matches?

Scrims is pretty much the same as ugc 6s I suppose. Either to to irc, have scrim partners, or add people with similar records to your own. Same with matches except more client issues. Not a ton though.

What do you think about the distribution of skill in ESEA?

Seendio was a bit questionable(at least early on when they were practicing more) but other than that it was as good as could be hoped for.

How do you feel about how ESEA compares to other leagues?

This might be a bit controversial, but I don't feel esea is head and shoulders above ugc like most people seem to say it is. The only real upside for me is honestly esea is where the competition is at.

Will you be playing in S19? If not, what is stopping you from playing again?

Yep, getting the boys back together.

Are there any specific resources you feel like would help you as a player?

My teammates always being online for me to mge them when I want to. Also a decent way to practice pistol tracking.

Would you recommend people to play ESEA? If so, under what conditions?

Mr_OwlPlay if you love 6s. Join open. If 25-30 bucks for a season is too much for you to commit to a hobby, then maybe you don't love the hobby that much after all.

What's your next goal?

To not get carried by my roamer.

#64 Most Dangerous Situation You've Ever Been In? in Off Topic

When I was about 10 years old I was sitting on a bench that was in the middle of our backyard(we had a pretty back yard) and my dad was mowing the lawn and it launched a rock at me and hit me in the temple. I didn't know what had happened at first I just was sitting and then blackness and I woke up on the ground a few seconds later. Not really a dangerous situation I suppose but to this day it freaks me out how easily it could have been a way bigger deal.

#1 3 months after the radius nerf in TF2 General Discussion

So it's been roughly 3 months and 1 season after the sticky radius nerf and I want to ask tftv how you feel it has changed the game? Demos, have you been playing more defensive to allow your pockets to get even more heals? Do you still feel like you provide the same things to your team that you did before the nerf? Have you raged like I have because certain trap spots just don't work anymore? Scouts, do you feel like you have more freedom on mids without the threat of catching a 70 damage sticky in the first 5 seconds? Soldiers, Do you focus demo less on mid/whenever because he just isn't as important as he used to be? Feel free to share anything you feel is worth noting.

Also other demos, what changes have you made if any because of the nerf? I played pretty defensive during the season but during scrims with my new team that just formed I have been doing the opposite. Getting in close while taking a lot of heals because yeah sure stickies aren't better than rockets anymore(at least not in the way they used to be) but I still have 12 bombs to the soldiers 4 so why not get close enough to make them count.

Personally the thing that has bothered me more than anticipated really is that traps aren't the threat that they used to be

#5 ragetf_ lft pocket in Recruitment (looking for team)

Great player, one of the smartest pockets in open. Also a great motivational speaker for then the team is feeling down over a tough match or bad scrim.

#63 Overwatch Event Impressions in Other Games
Gunbladefuck i hate muselk so much
shouldn't be allowed to stream on tf.tv

Why? because he is primarily a pubber? other streamers on the sidebar are pubbers, hell I can think of at least one that has 0 comp experience.

Gunbladewas he invited to this event? because it fucking boggles me that such a shitlord at tf2 is "giving his impressions" on a new game, when really "good" tf2 players should be invited. but oh well ytcancer

Of course he was invited. By shitlord do you mean bad at the game? because he definitely wasn't the worst player there. Why should the players they invite be based on skill anyways? If it were about skill do you think star or jerma would have been invited(don't get me wrong star is solid but I am sure more talented options were available) Blizzard gets to decide who they invite and if they decide not to invite high level players then what is the problem with that?

Gunbladehe's only doing it so he gets more subs and can act like he was a "pioneer" of overwatch... also pls notice the obvious dicksucking of jerma and star in the video. jesus christ.

There is nothing wrong with doing it for subs. Hollywood celebrities do it all the time. At some level I fucking do that shit at work. I do the thing that is likely to get me more money. For me that is working harder/longer than the next guy. For muselk it is promoting a new game. Also yes there was star/jerma dicksucking because he was very upfront about the fact that he would be fanboying about them. It isn't like he was trying to fucking hide it.

tldr version of the thread, if it is banned there is probably a good reason. Or it is useless and no one ever bothered to unban it, though really I don't think there are many of these.

And yeah liberty launcher is shit yo. I guess it might be okay if all you wanted to do as roamer is run shotgun and fight scouts.
