I'm not saying mouth breathing is the only thing that caused this but it may play some part in it. It's in your best interest to fix this because even if it doesn't help your mental state or cognitive abilities, people will take you more seriously when you're breathing normally. You can only benefit from practicing nasal breathing.
This is IRL advice which is leaps and bounds more important that video game criticism, downvote me all you want but I'm trying to help a kid who is obviously struggling with serious real life problems which I think should be fixed before playing video games.
