AleXIs there a way to alias sv_pure 2 to not load the Flat Textures so i dont have the glichy textures
Doesn't happen to me, they are all vanilla on sv_pure 2 and it should work like that for you too.
Also no, not as far as I'm aware.
MOOSE_Once you invest your time in tf2, there's really not that many redeeming qualities.
If you are a new player trying to get better it is likely that the comp community will be toxic to you.
If you are a not a new player the comp community is still pretty toxic.
Also, playing at a high level takes so much time and commitment that when tf2 dies you will be left with nothing to do.
The skillset does not cross over to any other game really. Maybe quake, but who still plays quake.
Logically I would say don't put time into tf2.
But, I am still going to advise you to try playing tf2. Join a league with some friends and play the game for fun. Your div doesn't matter as long as you are getting better as a player and enjoying yourself.
Lots of people play quake and community is wonderful
Oh sorry I thought you wanted to SSH your classmates to open cd drives etc. :P
Anyways "for" way is the right one and if it was assignment someone gave you then he probably didn't want you to use nmap anyways
Stochast1cSchweppesArienmap -sn 192.168.1.0/24This was cool too, but not allowed to use nmap as it requires apt get. ty though
What do you mean it requires apt-get? Are you using a different distro that uses a different package manager? Every distro that I know of has nmap in its repos. Even if it doesn't you can always build from the source code.
Are you on a network without root access? IF yes, then why the hell are you trying to scan addresses of other people's computers without their permission?
Cause he wants to troll his classmates using nasty scripts found on the internet, hellooo? :D
To the OP: If that's what you want to do it's not a good idea.
Given that you needed help for that you won't cover tracks and your administrator will know who did it plus your colleagues certainly won't find it fun.
Please treat it more like an advice and don't take any offence. Play some 8Ball if you're bored during lessons since this won't take you anywhere.

More messages in the convo but this is basically what matters.
Yo its fucking easy people.
- Played in a valve server with playcomp.tf in my alias
- Asked people if they had heard about comp during setup time
- Was polite and explained some things in chat
- This guy adds me. He was doing pretty well in the pub.
- I told him about the leagues, how to get mumble, tf2center etc.
- Fucking 36 hours later he sends me this.
I think theres some Dota level "we fucking lost" mentality here. Buck up for this terrible game we all love to hate.
Tell him to do the same and start a chain reaction!
It's also worth checking up some pub forums and adding people who are asking how to rocket jump and do some other shit, if they are interested in that they may be interested in comp and you may show it to them afterwards (that's what I did, it took literally one hour though we couldn't play a lobby because of some mumble issues)
jake_CHERRYHonest question, when you spy dressed as someone dies, does it show his corpse or whoever he was disguised as?
Spy corpse. If you have ragdolls on of course.
That's a bummer, I had this crazy idea of faking your own med's death :D
Honest question, when you spy dressed as someone dies, does it show his corpse or whoever he was disguised as?
So was I right thinking that playcomp.tf was UGC's website?
"UGC 2014" section in the older version and order of the leagues kinda made me think that, but idk.
Anyways if it is may I add you on Steam to talk about some suggestions I have like pugs section etc.? I prefer live contact instead of an email for the stuff that needs discussing.
Am I the only one using desktop editor (Sublime Text) as my main?
SpannzertruktrukSadly you have to replace the file each time you start Steam, I've just made a batch file to make copying the file easier though. CHANGE THE FILE DIRECTORIES TO FIT YOUR SETUP.SpannzerI personally use the startup sound for Big Picture mode for message notifications; it's nice and smooth so I don't jump about a mile when it's 1am and I get a message while half asleep.
BP sound file: Steam\tenfoot\resource\sounds\activation.wav
Make a copy of it and name it message and stick it in Steam\friends and you're good to go
I tried this and it didn't play a sound at first. I restarted Steam and the file was overwritten with the default noise again. I tried again but made the sound read only, and it worked. Then I restarted Steam and the file was overwritten again.
If it's possible I think you're leaving out an important step!
•Make a copy of activation.wav and place it on your desktop
•Rename the file to message.wav
•Open Notepad/Notepad++ and copy this shit in:@Echo off•Save the file as replacerino.bat
xcopy /y C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\message.wav E:\Steam\friends
Run the file after starting up Steam and you'll be using the custom one.
You didn't have to do this before; an update in 2013 broke Steam sound modding 8(
thanks! you're the man :)
Also nearly everyone else, just chill. It was just a suggestion from my side as I could easily imagine that they are not aware of this however serious or not it is. It's the small things like this that matter and no, I didn't know you could change sounds, I thought I could only disable it.
Please turn off Steam's notification sound while streaming as it's very confusing.
Thank you.
