The Pacific Rumble set to begin

As leagues across the Asia-Pacific region ease into the offseason, action in the eastern hemisphere has died down after weeks of close competition between teams across numerous divisions in each respective league. In Australia, Coffee Clock has won ozfortress's Season 25 Premier Division, with xiao retaining their crown as the best team in Asia after AsiaFortress Cup 15.

But CappingTV has devised one more match to wrap up the end of the competitive season with The Pacific Rumble, a regional battle between the top players in Asia and Australia to see which Eastern region reigns supreme.

Two teams from Asia and Australia clash to see which region reigns supreme. (Banner by a team of ants in their prime)

Team Asia

  • Scout: AiShou
  • Scout: tommy
  • Roamer: Nasi
  • Pocket: 26
  • Demoman: floaty
  • Medic: hsr

Representing the East, Team Asia features the absolute best players from Singapo– we mean Asia. With nearly 3 years of utter dominance under their belt, the xiao core contains some of the best players Asia has ever produced in her 10-year history.

Legendary, star-studded Scouts Aishou and tommy are famed for their incredible aim and DM ability. Adjacent to them are 26 and Nasi, indisputably an extremely dangerous Soldier combo, seemingly hitting insane direct after direct. Famed jumper floaty has easily transitioned to Demoman after years of roaming, and is a consistent force that rains damage down upon all opposition. Rounding out Team Asia is hsr on medic, an all-class veteran with incredible knack for surviving and game sense. Individually, Team Asia contains some of the best players, but as a team, they possess astronomical amounts of chemistry that will pose a threat to any team on the global stage. Team Asia is here to prove that Asian TF2 isn't dead, but it's better than ever.

Team Australia

  • Scout: lau
  • Scout: cooki
  • Roamer: down
  • Pocket: Hertz
  • Demoman: enrith
  • Medic: lock

And representing the South, Team Australia comes swinging with some all-star talent as they look to give a strong challenge for the Asian side, boasting a roster of all former Premier winners. Scouts lau and cooki look to be a formidable duo, both having been renowned for their astonishing DM abilities and multiple Premiership victories — the latter also boasting an impressive amount of ozfortress awards. This duo looks to provide a considerable opponent for the Asian side, and with all luck, these matchups could be the highlight of the games.

down and Hertz are also ready to provide an offensive against the Asians, with the former coming off a recent win with Coffee Clock on the Scout class, while the latter having placed highly and won Premier in the past with the likes of Jasmine Tea, Mad Men, and big chungus. This duo looks to provide a strong offense to the Soldier duo of Team Asia, and boasts strong teamwork, having played together previously on big chungus. Hopefully, this will provide an interesting opposition to Team Asia’s powerhouse Soldier duo. Last but not least, Demoman enrith and medic lock will hope to provide a solid backbone to the team. Longtime Demoman main enrith has proven he has been at the top of the class in Australia for a long time, having won his fair share of seasons with Jasmine Tea and no safeword. Medic lock is ready to give good support for his team after some strong finishes during previous seasons on the class notably with teams such as Jasmine Tea, big chungus, and Mad Men. It's undeniable that the team from down under won't be going down easily.

Along with handling the organization of the event, CappingTV will be providing coverage of the showmatch, featuring the following talent from both regions.

The match will be playing out on August 11th on CappingTV, starting at 8 PM AEST and 6 PM SGT/GMT+8. This is one piece of TF2 action you will not want to miss.

mustardoverlordaren’t you all gonna have like 150 ping

Thanks to our friends at Qixalite (AU TF2 server providers) they have hooked us up with Perth servers which will give both teams a relatively even amount of ping (40-60 ping).
