Hey, so I'm using Foster's hud, and everytime I joine a server, I get this big gigantic message that sticks around for like 2 or 3 minutes and covers up half my screen. Any idea how to disable it?

Is there a way to disable it though, so that I don't have to hud_reloadscheme everytime I join a server?

try opening up hudlayout.res ctrl+f for "HudAlert" and change "visible" to "0"

hud_reloadscheme did not work, and 'hudalert' was already set to 0.

vanillahud_reloadscheme did not work, and 'hudalert' was already set to 0.

yeah, try setting enable to "0" as well, i'm not sure if it works but i don't have time to test it myself

also the tf/media thing might work but i thought that was just for map videos.

RagorismThe objective notification thing? Just go to tf/media, find the viewed.res file, and change every value to 50 or more, then it should stop popping up.

I think that works, at least.

Worked for me. So it sounds like it shows this message a certain number of times for every map, and if you set the amount you've 'seen' the message in the viewed.res file, then it'll stop showing it.
