Cyberpunk 2077, the latest game by CD PROJEKT RED, is now entering its final development stages. The release date has been confirmed to be April 16th, 2020. Also Keanu fucking Reeves is in it.

Here's the gameplay reveal from last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjF9GgrY9c0
Along with it, the E3 2018 trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjxS9ciNlII
And here's the new cinematic trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YApuEWtG30w

I am fucking hyped.

no reason to pre-order anything, no matter the studio. Just buy the game on its fucking release (and this one looks good indeed)

I agree, i meant that when buying smth, you should get something, not the promise of something later. you're not investing.

By pre-ordering you show confidence in the product and the company can go and use that pre-order data and metrics to sell their ideas and shit to either investors or publishers. Really it's just a vote of confidence in the company and product.

CD Projekt has a very good track record when it comes to delivering stuff. I never preorder games since it's mostly a stupid thing to do, but since we talked about a vote of confidence in the company, I pre-ordered CP2077 specifically because I trust the company.
But there is indeed absolutely no reason to pre-order anything, preorder-only extra items be damned. You should never pre-order from developers that promise extra items for preordering, that's a sign of bad quality and wanting to ensure income. By offering nothing extra, CD Projekt basically showed extreme confidence in their work.
