So this is a problem that has plagued me for years, and I thought it's about time I get around to solving it.
Occasionally when I play scout, after pressing space bar to jump my character will immediately double jump in whichever movement key direction I'm holding (which is usually none, so I jump straight up like an idiot and lose all momentum). It doesn't happen every time but it happens several times a map.
Things to note:
- It doesn't seem to be a problem with my keyboard, because this has happened across multiple keyboards.
- It seems to happen more the worse my connection is.
- I've brought it up before and other people have said they've experienced it too (but apparently I get it the worst because of course).
I don't have any weird movement scripts, as far as I can remember (I'll double check though) or particularly unusual bindings. I have the null movement script but obviously that doesn't affect the space bar.
