Hey TFTV,

I’ve recently been sick and lost my voice, it started to come back yesterday, but after working a shift, I woke up today with it completely gone again. I was wondering if any of you guys have a good recommendation on either medicine or home remedies that help speed up the recovery process?

Cheers,
Dreamboat

pay a little irish child to stand next you comming for you, or get a sound board.
but between you and me, the 1st option is the more interesting of the two.

breathing in steam is the only thing i've ever found to help speed things along with voice stuff. you can probably find a reasonably cheap steam inhaler thing at the pharmacy or walmart or wherever if you're not keen on hunching over a pot of boiling water

Rest it, and avoid sugary drinks and foods (they stick to the tissues in your throat and increase inflammation). Steam or heat treatment - a hot bath for example - are good temporary fixes, but your throat will get gummed up with crud again eventually.

all the other stuff may help but basically just don't talk for 36 hours. not worth it in the long run to rush back to casting

codeine syrup,
seriously though afaik honey should be pretty good desinfecting thingie so honey with something like ginger tea could do good. I remember reading stuff like taking a spoonful of honey a day eventually helps for example to cleanse lungs from tar and stuff, not swearing on any of this but uhh yea!

Try gargling saltwater. It should relieve pain/discomfort.
