Hi!
In November I'll be moving to Amsterdam, and was considering my options to get my VG248QE there. I usually plug my laptop on it with a keyboard, and play on my laptop by itself if I'm not home. The laptop & keyboard are easy to carry in a bag so no issue there.
I'm most likely gonna fly to Amsterdam and since I'm gonna stay a few months I wanted to be able to play on 144Hz. I'm looking for alternatives, suggestions (or even LAN tips) that would help me be able to play on 144Hz once I get there.
Things that were already suggested to me:
-shipping (expensive, possibility of damages)
-take it in the plane (idk how much would that cost me, HIGH risk of damages)
-buying a screen in Amsterdam and reselling it when I go back in France (big money loss on the resell, can't be 100% sure it'll sell right away)

For the record, I currently live in Marseille, France.

When taking my monitor to i61 I made sure to get a suitcase with a hard outside and then I packed my monitor in the center of the case so that it was surrounded by my clothes that could soften any bumps that would happen to the bag.

Monitor got there all in one piece.

I put my monitor in my checked bag when I went to Rewind. It was packed with clothes on all sides and I cut open a pool noodle to wrap around the edge. The monitor made it there and back undamaged.

Did you take the suitcase as hand bagage?

the pool noodle idea is very clever, I like it!

No my screen wouldnt fit in it and it would probably had been too heavy for a carry-on. Hence why I made sure to get a hard suitcase

I forgot one other thing: I put the monitor in a garbage bag with a piece of cardboard in front of the screen to prevent scratches.
