Meet Your MatchCustom HUDs must now contain a file named "info.vdf" in their root folder, with the key "ui_version" set to the TF UI version with which they are compatible.

This was done intentionally so you don't crash because your hud isn't updated.

copy file from other hud and paste it in the folder with resource and scripts in it
open the file in a notepad document
change hud name with name of your hud and save changes

edit: change ui version to "2" as mentioned above

deleting mainmenuoverride and gamemenu.res got me running if anyone has scrims or smth and needs a quick fix to just play the game

A info.vdf is a just a file that has text. You can usually find it C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\YOUR-HUD-NAME\info.vdf
The fix that was metioned

is too edit the vdf to ui v1 to v2 (open with notepad)
