so a lot of people have been asking for public mumble access in the big casts that TFTV puts on, i've heard that enigma had some server in the works, just had to configure it or something? are we not giving it out because we want people to watch the stream, not STV+mumble? basically what i'm asking is should we expect public mumble soon?

I have a 100 slot mumble available for casts and the community in general if needed.

I'd like to see war rooms sometimes in TF2, I don't know if that was ever a thing though.

KissmeI'd like to see war rooms sometimes in TF2, I don't know if that was ever a thing though.

It used to be but then players/teams started trolling the casters (this is like waaaaay back in the day -- like leogeo days). We've recently had problems with random players hopping into the casting mumble so we're on lockdown for now.

I think historically the reason we haven't had mumble casts is because we're trying to increase the viewership of the channel. I'm not sure what will happen in the future but I would expect that stance to hold for the time being.

We had the same problem with some teams in L4D2 in both the NA and EU scenes. We basically had to ask the team if they'd like to participate in a war room and then if they said 'yes', then ask them to be serious about it and not just start talking about what their favorite cereal is during tank (literally happened in the Grand Finals of a tournament...)

Sucks that players started trolling your war rooms :/

I think it's possible to setup Mumble such that people could listen in but be muted, but Mumble is pretty archaic so I'm not surprised if he hasn't gotten around to it. He's also more focused on the site, at the moment. There's only so much enigma to be able to do stuff.

I'm not here to dictate your choice of where to watch the game, but stream viewership is very important; it's the only number that gets pushed to sponsors. After being professional, of course. Which, at the moment, is probably a bad idea for TF2, if only because of that one time.

It would be cool if there was a command you could use to add your own delay to the stv you're watching so you could sync it up to the stream cast in the background.
