Reposting here because nobody responded to me on the HUD questions thread
I'm having a weird problem with the fonts wavesui, I correctly changed the #base line in the clientscheme.res to the surface font,

however on the main menu I can't see any text written

so I saw if I didn't install the font and installed it

I checked the fonts settings to see if I could ctrl+c ctrl+v the fonts from the hud folder to the fonts but windows said that the fonts were already there despite only showing surface-numbers and not surface-medium and surface-sharpened
hELP
also on a listen server I can only see numbers and not any letters

go to "clientscheme - surface.res" and look if there aren't any missing and/or incorrectly placed brackets { }

its because u have surface uber installed. go to ur windows font folder and delete it
