I wanna know if anyone's played and what they did/didn't like or if they'd like to give them a shot!

Edit: A couple of buds of mine have started up a stream on Thursday nights to help people build/run their own games in tabletops. Stop by if you have the time! twitch.tv/overlordsanonymous

PTME's The Dreaming is pretty cool. Unfortunately it never finished but i played in a game of it for about a year with the developers friends while it was being made. You can still find the remaining rules if you Google it. I think someone was going to try and finish it.
d10 system, less skills than d&d, but the resistance system was cool, and a lot of the title merits have you e awesome options with your character. Never forget my durathil soldier.
Other than that, d&d is great pathfinder is good too. I played FATE accelerated some and it's ok.

Played a very watered down version which the DM called Fire of Eygrima on some imageboard years ago. Was mostly based around us making the choices and the DM writing a cool story based on our choices. Was a lot of fun but eventually fell apart as the regulars were getting burnt out. We did like 4 campaigns and died in all of them. Lasted for like 1.5 years though which is quite long for something like that. rip Eygrima 2012-2014

Since February I've started playing 5e with a group of Americans. Lots of fun. Campaign was homebrew by the DM but she wants to start one of the official campaigns starting this Saturday instead. Biggest issue is timezones because I'm the only European but I can afford to stay up a bit longer

Been doing a 5e roll20 campaign with friends for a little over a year now.

There's also a pretty nice system called Metal, Magic, and Lore that I've played a lot in the past. A friend of mine helped develop it so I get to take part in playtesting campaigns every now and then.

Ok so i think im organizing a game of maid rpg. The others players atm are Tojo and CereaI and I will be the master. We're all new to this specific system but if you're willing to give up some of your pride and roleplay a cute maid for my amusement hmu.

I swear it's a legit game It's just hard to talk about without it sounding weird

I've been playing with the same group for four years or so, since high school. We started with D&D 2nd Advanced on the recommendation of our history teacher, and have moved to 5e since. The whole balance change of combat from 2nd to 5th is really a roller coaster, but we've adjusted.

I also played Call of Cthulhu with some Germans, that was pretty fun. I don't think I got a great idea of how it's played since we only had a short one-session campaign. They seem to like it more than D&D, which certainly has some flaws. I'd be willing to try it out some more.

I've played a bit, but I'd like to play with people who know their shit. I played a 3.5 D&D campaign ages ago via IRC and that was pretty cool and probably my best experience. the couple times I've played AD&D or 4th edition or even a campaign with the d20 system either no one knew how the fuck to roleplay or the DM ignored rules or sucked fat cock at DMing.

played 5e for a couple years with friends, some of the most fun I've ever had. Shame our campaign ended last week cuz our dm can't run games anymore and the rest of us are incompetent on running campaigns

Run a campaign (Forgotten Realms) for some friends of mine on Fantasy Grounds because we're all fancy and stuff, it's 5e which is alright I only have a few complaints with it, Pathfinder (3.5E to a slightly lesser degree) is more fun but also way more math heavy so 5e works better for my friends lol.

They're actually going for a less-than-heroic campaign, one of the party members is a Warlock/Sorcerer who serves Cthulhu and is trying to free him from his prison in R'lyeh and one of the other party members (Paladin) wanted to reroll so we actually plotted out having the Warlock + his tiny cult also devoted to Cthulhu full on Julius Caesaring the Paladin.

Now they're trying to trying to free Cthulhu and it's a pretty amoral party (though lending itself more towards Chaotic), it's solid.

e: Oh yeah and the Paladin's new character is one of the cultists who killed his old one lol.

I also love Shadowrun but it's nowhere near as popular as D&D.

I've always enjoyed the concept of role playing but the Tabletop scene here in Singapore is pretty small, so I've never had the opportunity to explore the interest fully.

Always thought it'd be really cool if I could gather a group of friends and get one friend who's REALLY knowledgeable at D&D to GM us.

Don't run campaigns then, but short adventures or even one shots! Like most things in life, DMing too is a trainable skill.
