I have deleted the surface properties note file but it still doesn't work. I want it back to default, how do I do this?

It does more than remove the dust. It takes away the smoke from rockets, heal beam away from mediguns, kritzkrieg effect away from weapons, pyro flames, air blast effect, demos sticky/grenade trails and more. It also makes friendly players burn as if they were on the opposite team.

mine doesn't, must be some other particle removing file in your config

right, you're using something else, also changing particles doesn't work on sv_pure 2 (even 1 iirc)
look for .vpk files or particles folder

I deleted Tf folder and uninstalled tf2. But when I installed it again with a different autoexec the game looks the same still! help?

I'm using Comanglia' frames config.
