Should I spend money on a better one or should I just jump on it at this pricepoint?

Review, seems pretty positive

No Lightboost or similar.

Colours are almost as bad as the VG248QE

and the next page as well.

So for just 144 Hz as cheap as possible it's good, if you want strobing or decent colours it's not.

We've had aoc monitors as rentals at i58 and it had godawful blur. Idk if it was the same model tho, but it felt like playing on 100hz instead of 144

SetsulNo Lightboost or similar.

lightboost is crap anyway, nobody uses it

OP it'll be better than a non-144Hz non-1ms monitor so if that's your budget it shouldn't be a bad purchase

edit: ok, nobody good uses it... setsul uses it, that's it. Lightboost adds 4ms+ input lag and turns everything purple, it's shit

That's objectively false.

although i prefer to use 144hz rather than 120hz lightboosted, you are very wrong if you think no one uses lightboost

So would you guys suggest just spending an extra $60 and getting this?

If you want strobing, yes. Otherwise there's probably different options as well (e.g. the nixeus drop).
