Valve waited until after i58 to push an update.

I don't know if this is a huge deal, but I'm honestly pretty proud of Valve about this. I talked about it briefly in my new thing. Basically, there's been some remarkably stupid youtube drama going on lately in the TF2 community, and one of the things people are screaming at each other about is whether or not Delfy is helping TF2 with his exploit videos.

Show Content
he's not

There was something brought up about how something he did in a video was fixed a day after the video was posted, and in response this got posted: http://imgur.com/a/CSaeU
A month before Delfy's video about this particular exploit, a small-time youtuber and TF:Classic contributor, Sigsegv, made a video showing valve the technical aspects of the problem and sent them an email with details. Essentially, that bug (and many more) had been fixed for a couple weeks, but Valve didn't want to break anything before i58. Honestly, that's a good sign from my pov. Small sign, but good sign.

Kinda blows that one of the major things to be thankful for from valve is them not fucking up a giant tournament. Wish our expectations didn't have to be so low for Volvo :/

I'm starting out as a ugc 6s iron scrub, but I would play esea open if my parent's were okay with forking over their credit card for a video game which they see as violence and therefore makes me violent, but in truth losing makes me pretty depressed and just a toxic person to be around, not because of tf2.

I remember playing mm back when it was in beta against delfy and his russian stack, we were winning so he decided to put sentry under the point and that became impossible to cap, that sure was a good way to 'help valve with fixing exploits', his teammates vent apeshit over the fact theyre winning coz of a bug, delfy is a bitch, fuck him and his 'friends'

Wow, Valve really does care. Shoutout to the 2 intern's on the TF2 Dev team, working on these crazy bugs and pushing out updates with amazing timing!

You could probably find someone to pay your ESEA fees since open isn't too much. Also I don't think you realize how low iron is. Seriously at least play steel or silver.

nopeif you follow that logic they shouldn't have waited until after i58 in the first place

Don't be ridiculous, none of our i58 heroes would ever cheat. Remember that it was held in Britain, the world capital of fair play and sportsmanship. Hacks simply cease to work on our fair isle.

This explains why the Nazis were unable to conquer Britain.

except they do

kqly, sf, emilio (?) all cheated at lan

idk if there's even a point in cheating at tf2 lans for the barely existent prize money but to say "nobody cheats at lan" is sort of naive

not in games like cs for example , from what I've heard, since DH 2014 Valve devs lock down the PCs completely, did not allow new USB devices to be installed, limit internet access to only certain IPs/ports, etc. i don t really think u can somehow get past that and cheat . but i guess i was wrong about not being able to cheat in tf2 lans.

if i recall correctly people would have creator-only maps on steam workshop, then use those to download / get cheats at lans
